I didn’t really say anything that bad at THR yesterday. And guy said something about K needing to research honesty, dignity and class, so I just posted a link to the cheating scandal and asked if K was really who needed to research that? I thought it was a reasonable question!!
According to all of the arm chair doctors, psychologists and Reverends over on THR, the death of Kobe is just an excuse that K is using for his outburst. I mean sure did he have a great relationship with Kobe? Yeah. Did his wife and family have a strong relationship with Kobe and his family? Of course. But they know better than he does. They also are the experts on how long it is acceptable to grieve. In this case 48 hours was deemed too long. I mean sure, did he have his former player and assistant coach who he calls his son coming in? Yeah, did that probably add to it? Obviously. But the mental health coaches from thr told us from their soap boxes that excuse isn’t valid.

I knew what guru gary -7 looked like because he has it up as his avatar but no idea what steat or deepsouth looked like but now that I see them they look like they post. Believe it or not, I'm not banned from THR (well, I wasn't as of a couple of weeks ago). I was banned originally (and had never posted...but by reputation), but Heels of Steel (is that right?) reinstated me so I could post in the Mike Irby thread (that was years ago). And I posted in another thread about MIke a few weeks ago. We don't pull for the same colors, but I believe Mike is a good man, and I pray for the very best for him and his family.

Has Platek turned the corner? Two plays come to mind. One, the driving lay-up and the 20-foot jumper that banged around the rim and dropped in. Could be quite ironic if the kid starts hitting more outside shots because of the luck on that shot. Could have been exactly what the doctor ordered for Platek to start banging in some 3-pointers down the stretch.
As for Cole, I am not an advocate of him coming back. On the other hand, the moment he hits the floor I will support him 200% and pray that he does not suffer another injury. I hope he can lead the team into the Dance. I hope he is 100%.
As for the chances of making the Dance, they can't afford to lose another home game.

seems that way! One thing is for sure, the home cooking is always active in the Nose Dome. Cole Anthony shot 14 FTs and as a team unc shot 31 FTs to BC’s 17. Funny how they still lose at home with the refs giving them every favorable call.
