ABlockalypseBrow - I don’t think you have to live in Fayette County to sign. The board chair in question teaches in a different county and does not have kids...something else puzzling to me. But basically he has said that he has political aspirations. He is very politically active on his Facebook/Twitter. If I remember correctly, he may have done an internship type deal with Andy beshear at one time.

I have given it a brief thought but don’t think I’m at a stage in life where I can give it the needed dedication. My kids are younger so we stay pretty busy at this point in our lives. I wouldn’t want to do anything that takes away from my time with them. But I will do other things when I can such as advocating for board members to be elected that I believe have our children’s best interest. Unfortunately I believe we need to replace every school board member in Fayette County.

Totally understand. If you know someone that WOULD be a good fit, and wants to run. Pass along my contact info. I would be a highly motivated donor and worker. And would be more than happy to share my insight into the school system, after 27 years of working there.

Definitely I think there are several issues that need to be exposed. If you would like to join us and our discussion, I am connected with a group of over 3,000 parents formed to advocate for our children (no clue on makeup of Democrats/Republicans)..just people who care about the school system. The group is called Let Them Learn in Fayette County. Looking at changing name soon. Leaders of the group are very open to receiving messages and having dialogue if you would like to talk with anyone on there.
