According to the Buffalo athletics website, three of their players are in their sixth year. If he has a problem with Taupaki, maybe he should take it up with the NCAA instead of calling out an opposing player during a press conference.
I know his intent wasn't to be disrespectful with his "forget about 9/11" comment, but maybe he should choose his words more carefully when bringing up a topic which is still very raw for many people.
PSU has only one thing to gain vs. Buffalo. Get an insurmountable lead ASAP and get your 1s and some 2s outta there healthy.

You're right about that. This is a game in which the backups should play almost all of the second half.
It won’t, even with 5 in 5. It will depend on age at graduation and then if a player doesn’t enroll for a year….add another year of age. Military and religious mission will also increase the age.
It will be considerably less frequent, but there will be some over the age of 23.
That came across like a politician trying to deliver a rehearsed joke. Not offensive but the delivery was bad

Yeah kind of like the time Paterno was asked about some Alabama player named something like Jim Bo Harris and he said isn’t he in his 10th season? Seems like he has been there forever.
I actually was thinking about this in regards to the Kent State-OSU game. If I were a coach of a team like OSU that just came off an emotional loss in a big game and is playing an opponent in a glorified scrimmage in which there probably will be a predictable let down, not that it will matter, I seriously would consider starting the backups.
Also, to justify playing a game like this, PSU really needs to start scheduling at least one Power 4 game like Michigan and OSU have played the last two seasons. While OSU will have played Ball State and Kent State, they can justify that by saying that they played at Texas. PSU's last two non-con schedules have been unambitious at best and embarrasing at worst.

That's what we thought last year OOC. Turns out PSU wasn't the well oiled machine we thought they were. If last week's running game shows up against Wisconsin, well...

I guess what I'm saying is that being explosive vs. A team that gave up 540 yards to FIU might not be indicative of improvement.

Not a pearl clutcher at all but nahhh it's ok to call it something else now. I like Nittanyville or LionLand better than naming it after any former or current coach. JMO.

Marcus Freeman would make a good John Stewart Green Lantern.
I hope to see a crisp and efficient performance like in the Marshall game, but I will put absolutely no stock in this game except if PSU struggles like they did against FIU and Villanova last season. This needs to be a game in which depth is developed and nothing more.
Last week, the end of the first half still puzzles me. Isn't this the time of year you work on your 2 minute drill? If that's PSU's 2 minute drill, good luck. PSU literally kneeled on a kickoff return with 2 minutes left in the game, then ran the clock out. Nobody on the sideline that could have used a few reps??
I'm not sure what game you were watching last week. PSU went on a 10 play 83 yard touchdown drive in the last two minutes of the first half. If that's their 2 minute drill I'll take it all season.
oh, I don't care what they call it. I'm Just going by all the backlash the current addition to the sports museum at the stadium.
