Think the interesting part will be the type of questions asked. After spending years focusing on the negatives in regards to Franklin’s results in big games, will ESPN ignore that subject.

I expect a generally non antagonistic spot where Franklin will be cordial and seen in a good PR light.
It's highly likely this is a puff piece designed to get Franklin back out there and positioned for jobs opening in this cycle.

No one in their right mind would be interested in him, unless it's a lower tier school with a losing record.
You will be surprised at the interest, IMO. There are a lot of programs that would take 10-2 most years in a heartbeat: UNC, Michigan St, Va Tech, Texas Tech, Ga Tech, etc.

The real questions are what jobs open after the coaching merry-go-round starts and what type of job will Franklin take?

He’s a big ego type who may not want to go to a second-tier school with a ceiling of 10-2. I think he could crush it at the right ACC school.

espn dude: “James, now that you’ve had time to reflect on your time at Penn State, what are your lasting memories?”

Franklin:

PR FAIL. 😞

He will have plenty of options.

Just look at guys who are on "lists" of candidates for P4 jobs.
The vast majority of them do not have 1/2 of HCJF track record (in a positive way)

He wouldn't go 10-2 many of those places. Texas Tech doesn't want 10-2 with how much they spend

The real question is...does he want to coach next year
