These players are paid professionals,making tons of money. Who cares whether or not they graduate with some worthless sports science degree?
If Joe were the coach the discussion wouldn't change. It's about a flawed methodology and schools manipulating data to look good.
But since you had to bring Joe into the discussion, back in the days when he was coach the NCAA would publish raw data; by team, how many scholarship athletes were in each cohort, and how many got degrees. Of course, publication of that data had nothing to do with Joe, but what prevents PSU from disclosing it?
Maybe you should make your case in a letter to the PSU Athletic Department Spin Machine.

BTW, can anyone tell me when the player profiles ceased to include the major of each player? It probably was long ago, but that just hit me looking at them. Now we see their NIL $, but that is all that matters today anyway.
PSU does, and always has, listed majors for most of the players on its official Athletic Department website. No enumeration of NIL comp, which is probably about as accurate as the numbers found on Celebrity Net Worth.
No one actually cared back in the 70s, either. I'm glad the facade is gone.

Franklin has re-written the manuel on clock and time management during a game and the two-minute drill. Now whether it truly works or not is completely depended upon the alignment of the stars, the gravitational pull of Uranus and what flavor of scone BobPSU92 is eating at that moment of the game.
