I never heard of them till last year, when my BFFs son got picked to fly them after Annapolis. He flies P-8s out of Jax. Primary duty is sub detection. He will be a hot airline commodity some day.

Assuming they were ”trolling”, taking an intentional jab at the scandal, I find it a further embarrassment from a school that purports to be above everyone else. They continue to embarrass themselves, and the really sad point, is that it isn’t just with this scandal. It’s scandal after scandal with that school. And not just in athletics.
The assumed trolling isn’t amusing. It’s pathetic. What will be amusing is if the football program gets hammered by the ncaa, but I suspect it won’t.

Probably true. Still, for a school that is supposed to be all that, it’s shameful that they allow the tail to wag the dog. The administration should take the hard line that this whole mess is unacceptable. “Not here.” Instead, um* is just another football factory, if not worse.

Didn’t UM have a sports doctor that sexually abused male athletes and the school settled the civil cases for half a billion? Schembechler’s son was abused by the doctor when he was 10. Schembechler knew about all of the abuse and did nothing. In fact, it was a joke by the coaches that if a player underperformed, he’d be sent to the doctor. Also, wasn’t Fielding Yost a racist? You don’t see how the world sees your school.
In the present, it looks like your school and donors said they didn’t like your coach’s performance, especially against OSU. They wanted to win and didn’t care how. Your coach took a pay cut and started cheating. Sign stealing, destruction of evidence, firing someone who cooperated with the investigation, illegal contact with recruits, illegal practice time come to mind without looking stuff up. That‘s how it looks.
It’s not self righteousness. Slinging insults and denying the truth is always met with a response.
