Because he was specifically implicated by some of the victims in the past as having been notified about the situation. His arrogance doesn’t help his cause with me.
So was his boss who was head coach and a dozen other people who were implicated in the documentary. Yet you focus on Jordan.

I'm not defending Jordan. I don't know what happened and who or what people knew. I admit to being skeptical about dozens of people in authority across several sports and even the student healthcare center conspired to allow Strauss to assault kids. That just seems unlikely. It's like those who claim everybody at PSU knew what Sandusky was doing. I think a lot of people blew it off as Strauss just being too handsy just like some people at PSU heard rumors about Sandusky but thought it was just Jerry being Jerry. JMO but sure Jordan could have some responsibility.

BTW I understand that some athletes didn't say anything because they didn't want to make waves. But I'd think a few of them would have stepped up. The All American kids probably weren't worried about losing his scholarship. The guy who already lost his hockey scholarship didn't have anything more to lose before allegedly being raped but he still didn't say anything. The grown adult ref (John Doe 42) could have done more. He claimed that he told Hellickson & Jordan that Strauss masturbated in the shower in 1994 but did nothing more until he filed a lawsuit against OSU in 2019. Even if that's true how was her personally damaged?

From what I've read, it was no secret among coaches as Strauss and Dr. Anderson were molesting student athletes for decades. Woody and Bo knew. Bo enabled Anderson by keeping him on staff even after being told by his son that Anderson molested him.

No doubt the OSU situation appears to be much worse. My only defense for them is that I have difficulty believing that so many coaches and administrators across numerous sports would have conspired to cover things up. Some PSU people who said they didn't know also talked about Jerry being Jerry. My gut tells me that a number of OSU people felt that Strauss was being Strauss without appreciating the severity of what was really happening.

When you approach this with the appropriate level of “F*ck everyone ever associated with T™️osu”, the conclusions become clear.

Free your mind.

We judge these scandals by today's standards. If anyone else here is old enough, they will recall incidents that were "covered up" and life went on. I recall 3 incidents early in my career. Two with teachers and one with a local college swim coach. We heard "rumors" of unseemly conduct. Soon, someone "resigned." No charges, no newspaper headlines. In hindsight, with no computer trail, the "alleged perpatrators" were free to move to another area or state and start a new life. In regards to the swim coach, I asked the AD, his response," I'll say this. He can't buy a ticket to an event and set foot on campus." Obviously, I filed his application in the trash.
I don't in any way suggest that this was correct. However, it is difficult to judge how people addressed these issues decades ago.

I would simply say, decades later, tOSU fully knows what took place, admitted to atrocities in board meetings in front of victims, and is still fighting payouts and screwing over victims.

Personally, I'm shocked tOSU alumni have not stood up and said, enough. We won't support athletics until you pay proper restitution to 2700 victims. The silence is disgraceful.

I sort of disagree.

I'm confident that OSU's investigation provided sufficient evidence to show that Strauss did questionable stuff and that some people knew enough and should have done more to stop him. No question about that and there should be some accountability.

That doesn't mean that dozens of coaches and administrators across several sports understood the extent of what was happening and conspired to cover it up. It also doesn't mean that all of the alleged victims were severely damaged and deserve $millions.
