Welp, Mark Twain said golf was a good walk spoiled, seems to have extended to rides too.
(Yes, I'm aware it wasn't actually Twain)

SS's presser was perfect.
Sounds like all sides want this to go away quickly and are remorseful this got out of hand while also not override the loss of life and the PGA Championship this weekend. I would expect this to disappear before his court date on Tuesday.

Loss of life? What did I miss?

How the whole thing started today. A vendor was walking across the street in the rain and darkness and was hit by a shuttle bus and killed. Caused the traffic jam that many of the players got stuck in... Now the governor of Kentucky is calling for everyone to stand down and come to a resolution. This will be wrapped up long before that court date on Tuesday

It doesn't matter what he may or may not have been told earlier- when a cop tells you to stop, you stop- you don't drag him down the road.

What if the other cop waves him through as numerous eyewitness have stated? This happened to me at a Phillies game. Cop waves me through and another cop starts beating his flashlight on my hood and asks me who said you could move? I pointed to the cop who told me to go ... Cop agreed with me and told him I told.him to go ... When it's pitch black and raining and a cop tells you to go ... You go the last thing you want to do is piss the cop off.

I don’t trust most cops.

They are poorly trained and typically led by ego maniacal fools.

the militarization of the cops in this nation has gone so far I find them a threat to our safety.

I think the golfer is owed an apology.

Like I said- it doesn't matter. Try ignoring a cop and dragging him with your car and see how that works out.

Again we disagree and it's ok. The cop jumped on his car so that is on the cop. He drove 10 yards with the cop on his car and from a standing stop how fast could he go in 10 Yards in a massive traffic jam with it raining and in the dark. This is coming from many family members and best friends who are cops. We see things differently. I am sure Scottie will buy the cop new pants since he said his $80 pair of pants were ruined. Family and friends already saying the cop was not smart jumping on a car. This will all be gone shortly.

Louisville PD. ROFL.

I'm gonna hazard a wild guess that the Louisville PD phucked this one up, big time. Scheffler should sue.
This is from one side and Scheffler attorney just really comes down to miscommunication. When the governor is leaning on the police to back off this will disappear quickly. Even Scheffler may make a donation to PAL. Scheffler has already apologized and is remorseful I am sure the cops will stand down.
Scheffler's attorney, Steven Romines, told ESPN that the golfer attempted to enter Valhalla Golf Club as he had been instructed to earlier, unaware there had been a fatal wreck just up the road.

"He was going into Valhalla to work out," Romines said. "He was getting ready for his tee time. They were directing traffic. He held his credential out and was going in like they'd been instructed to. Apparently, there had been a traffic accident, maybe even a fatality, down the road, and that had changed the traffic patterns, and he was unaware of that."

Romines, speaking outside the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, said the officer who attempted to stop Scheffler wasn't part of the regular event-traffic detail at Valhalla Golf Club, "so that's where the miscommunication arose."

"They are allowed to go through, that's why they have the credential and the wave-through," Romines said. "[Scheffler] was unaware there had been a wreck, and he proceeded like they'd been instructed to. He did exactly as he was instructed to enter the premises."

Romines said Scheffler would cooperate fully with police, and "we'll deal with it as it progresses."

Louisville seems to have a problem with assertive police officers.

I don’t remember a PGA tournament with police officers escorting the players.

And further, the officer who arrested Scottie is bad news. He has no place in law enforcement.
