Same. But, this is a massive amount of BS for their AD - I guess they won’t schedule Vandy anymore? Hard to win NCs when you don’t always have the best roster Dodge Chargers can buy year after year isn’t it Nick?
Wouldn't we want our AD making a big deal if we didn't get in? I do see the point that scheduling tough OOC opponents will be disincentivized in the future, but with conference realignment, that really isn't as important. I don't see any point of Psu scheduling a tough opp when they have to get through conference teams like usc, oregon, Michigan, osu etc. So, get used to 3 cream puffs to start the season soon.

You know you are entitled when you get curb stomped by a mediocre OU team and think you deserve to get in. If the roles were reversed, I would fully admit PSU wouldn't deserve to get in either.

A good substitute for bitters in your cocktail.
See, it all worked out! And I'm glad to not be playing Alabama.

I am expecting The Midnighter Bar to come up with a cocktail wehre Bama tears are substitues for bitters.

'Bama fans fit my perception of deep southerners: never letting the facts get in the way of their desired narrative.
To be fair, that's a characteristic not exclusively Southern.

That said, Bama is the epitome of an entitled fanbase. They had a magnificent run with Saban and great years with Bryant back in the day. But of course the fans just want more. And never forget that football is a religion in the South.

The 2025 SEC schedule is already established but I think the conference is going to massage future years to award easier schedules to their “preferred members”.

THREE (3) regular season losses. Not 1, not 2, not 2 plus a championship game loss...

Not even a "Bama hater" so to speak, but regardless of any emotions by fans or by prominent sports figures, all that needs to be said is 3 regular season losses. Case Closed.

I don't understand how this is just coming to the forefront now. It's been obvious for many years that scheduling hard non conference games has little benefit. Franklin has even publicly said as much.

Bama is headed back to where they were pre-Saban. Dude is an all time coach. They won one cheating-aided natty in the early 90s but were more average than good between Bryant and Saban.

They better get used to seeing the playoff less.

This is going to happen to us someday, and probably sooner rather than later. We’re gonna be on the bubble and get snubbed.

When that day comes, I won’t be sitting here sobbing, “bUt wE’Re pEnN sTAtE!” like that ******* hack, Saban.

Hey Nick— you quit the coaching gig, remember? You switched jobs. You’re an analyst now, which means you don’t get to be a cheerleader for your former program and maintain integrity.

Don’t like it? Go see if the WVU job is still available, douche bag.

Alas, this seems to be the norm with many analysts these days.

I remember when ND played Alabama in 1973, and PSU was on the outside without a chance to
play for the Championship. The big difference was PSU was undefeated.

What is not being said is the scheduling of non-conference games. Typically, PSU schedules all 3 at the start of the schedule while SEC teams like Bama spread out their non-conference games throughout the season. You will notice that Bama will play a non-conference game in the middle of the season. Bama will play a conference game early to allow a non-conference game later. Not sure if this is an advantage or not. Thinking it does help a team with injuries and time to recover,

And was not ND or Alabama. Despite his success, Joe had not "made his bones" on the national level, in comparison to ND and Bama.

Everyone is aware of this. It's because the SEC plays an extra non conference game as compared to the Big 10 and to make it even easier, typically schedules it in November when teams really could use a week to get healthy. The SEC only playing 8 conference games gives half of their teams an automatic boost in win percentage every single year vs. conferences that play 9.
