T-minus 24 hours until I visit Franks for the first time.

Anyone have any off the radar New Haven pizza spots to recommend?
have you ever eaten at the alleged home of the original hamburger?

Seems like a number of people/establishments make that claim. This is a pizza only trip.
Maybe it's a good burger, but they may want to look into a better photo for that thing. And maybe ditch the white bread.

Have a couple of customers in the Tuna. Have had, this **** is great hangover pie. Tgar believes it was originally invented at the ALTUNA Hotel back in the day.

Again, great hangover fare, otherwise……..

My verdict on Frank Pepe. As someone else said, very good but overrated. I was introduced to the new haven style by Apizza Scholls in Portland and it's decidedly better than Franks. In fact, I can think of 5 places in Portland off the top of my head that are better.

Trying modern apizza later.

I honestly never knew there is such a thing as Ohio Valley pizza.

New York style, Chicago style. There is Pizza for all demographics I suppose then.

So that makes me wonder what the
"Deep Hills Appalachia Pizza" would be like?

Marijuana seasoning with Possum pepperoni perhaps?
