Noooooooo!!!! Truly one of the best ever! One of the few 'superstars' whose legacy is that more than anything, they were a good person. Elite songwriter too. RIP. Loved her.

God bless her. A lovely woman, nobody nicer, zero pretense, a truly giving soul. The world is a much lesser place for her leaving.

Siskel and Ebert were doing a an interview and were asked who their favorite interviewee was. “Dolly Parton.” “Dolly Parton.” A universally beloved figure.

Back in 2021, my nephew's travel baseball team played in a tournament in Pigeon Forge, TN, which is where Dollywood is. I went with my brother, sister-in-law and niece and was blown away by what a great area that is for a vacation, and that's largely attributable to Dolly Parton putting that amusement park there.

Reports note she had cancer (type not identified) and also had kidney and autoimmune issues when admitted to the hospital.

We were talking about this at work earlier today and a coworker didn’t understand the love for Dolly. She even said that Whitney Houston’s version of the song was way better.

Every other person in the group immediately chastised her and walked away.

One of the greatest things Dolly ever did was her free books for kids idea. Both of my children got books every month from her when they were young.
