Did anyone watch FDU Play tonight? They played a spread offense because they are small. Dribble exchanges and rapid ball movement created a lot of layups and open 3s. I think their coach will be moving up in the future. They will not be able to defend Edey but they would be trouble to a lot of other teams

I was impressed by FDU the other night but I did not think they could defend Edey. I was wrong as Edey only took one shot in the last 10 minutes. I think FDU's coach has a bright future

LU played FDU early in the season and took us to overtime. But the coach did a really smart thing. We were trying to double team on the high screen roll and he was able to isolate our post player on their miniture point guard 30 feet from the basket and then just blow by us..To our credit we eventually took the post players off the court and played them small to small.
Purdue was built to have one dominate center and 4 basically post up shooters who were not so good at getting to the hoop. FDU gambled sacrificing a player to guard Eddy and see if any of the young kids could beat them and they could not. FDU also made Edddy work on defense by dragging him away from the basket and have to deal with high pick and rolls.

fdu is really a #17 seed for the tourney. So this win was the biggest upset ever in tourney history. UVA loss was just by wider margin

Wow. Those tweets detailing the statistical magnitude of this upset are jaw-dropping.

Someone please go to Hammer and Rails and post those tweets.

And then run like the devil is chasing you. With a taser. And don’t stop until you reach Patagonia.
