certainly glad you admit it.
I wouldn't really consider myself a "race hustler." I am not even really sure what that is, but I don't mind your labels or insults. It lets me know my words are having an impact and are causing that mind of yours some discomfort.

I don't think your words have the kind of impact you are hoping for.
Ehhh, I would disagree with that assessment, but it's certainly a possibility...

After all, you all are feeling to urge to continuously reply to it, not to mentioned the constant need to "like" the opposing view. That's pretty telling.

See how far off the mark you are. I have never "liked" a post in the more than 15 years I have posted on here.

The obvious play is Washington Pigskins.

1. Nothing is as basic to football as the ol’ pigskin.

2. You can still call the team The ‘Skins, which everyone in DC does.

3. A huge part of the team’s most successful era was the offensive line known as “The Hogs” so you can save face by saying you are honoring them.

4. Fans already wear rubber pig snouts to games.

5. You’ve got good options for a badass mascot, ala the Razorback of Arkansas.

6. Team colors stay the same. So the Skins are the Skins, same uniforms, a snarling Razorback instead of an Indian on your helmet. Win win win.

Very thoughtful and creative idea. I wonder if they have thought of that? Maybe you should email them you idea.

I didn't say you specifically. I said you all are replying and continually liking. You are replying. So you fit into that.

I came up with Pigskins probably 25 years ago when the first protests to change the name occurred. I sent to to the team’s PR staff, pushed it in ‘rename the Redskins’ contests in the media through the years, talked it up among friends in the sports media. It has slowly gained a little traction.

Not really that great of an idea considering the fact that all footballs at the NFL level (and collegiate level) are made out of cowhide and have been for a long time.

Way back in the early days they used to be made out of animal bladders and sometimes covered with pigskin...which is where using the term “pigskin” for a football originated.

But we are in “canceling history” mode, comrades. The people that made footballs out of animal bladders were probably all racists anyway. So...that’s a no go on Washington Pigskins.

I’m actually involved with PETA. We are in the process of pushing to ending all teams with animal related names.
