I finally put one on the board last week. My apologies to the good people of Lemont, but an upset predictor has to do what he has to do. Now on to this week. I seem to have generated some early week buzz on the board this week, and I must admit that one of you got me....pjjp, it's like you were reading my mind. This weeks upset is.........The unranked Redhawk"Skins" of Marist over the undefeated #17 ranked Dons of Notre Dame. I'll admit that I don't know much about the Dons this year, but I know how to read a box score. ND let a less than impressive McHenry team stay with them on opening day, then gave up 21 points to Evanston. They better shore up the defense if they want to keep up with Marist. The Redhawk"Skins" are averaging over 38 points per game this year. The question tonight will be the weather, and I think that will also work in the favor of Marist. This team can run the ball, from the QB to the RB's they can all get up and go. Final score in this one........Marist 35 - Notre Dame 21. That's my upset. What are your thoughts, and who is your upset?

I'm giving St. Francis a chance here over Brother Rice.

Waubonsie bounces back over Naperville Central.

I'm not calling an upset here but interested to see how Glenbard East measures up against Glenbard North. My friend who goes to all their games said GE is looking much improved this year.

By the way ND is averaging 35 points a game. When does beating a team by 20 mean "letting them hang around" the defense let up 7 points. Marist let Viator hang around 35-28 with 5 min left in the game. So they should worry about slowing down ND. And yes averaging over 38 points a game is very impressive when you play the high powered DuSable Leadership Academy. So I guess my upset is #17 ND over Marist.

I'm gonna try one more week and go with one of my "home" teams. I'll say JT West takes down the Brook. West has got some skilled people and the Brook are scrambling a bit. Huge game for both teams and this could be the signature win the Tigers are looking for.

I knew Feeto would go with Marist. I agree with the pick too.

I like this pick as well. Seems strange that since DD joined the program, things have not gone so well...

Does MCC still have natural grass at their field? I've heard such wonderful stories about how slow that field can get with lots of water. Tons of rain last night and more predicted today.

I'm not predicting a Naz loss, but does anyone think that the Naz/MCC game tonight up in Woodstock will be close?

This weather and that horrible field play into their favor that is for sure

Can I use conditions as a factor in my DSR

ever since St. Larry's freshman beat MC a couple years ago you have become a St. Larry lover
any idea on O line tonight? I have been tinkering with /jotting down different ideas how thing might look if they put Houston both ways.

I hear no changes on O-line. Gill played guard 2nd half last week and did well. Houston stays at d-line.

I realize the weather is an issue but if we have to endure what we did last year week 2 with the delays I will have uncontrollable anger.
