Female referees

THAT is the issue. From what I have seen they largely prove to be incompetent.. ignorant.. or a complete non-factor... which means they are afraid to throw deserved flags.

They could have brought them along slowly.. let them climb through the ranks... or find some trans-female refs who played the game.

I have an idea.. how about making a crew of ALL female refs and see what happens. let them do the Texas-Oklahoma game or Michigan-OSU or USC-UCLA.. let the whole nation score them on their collective quality.
I think the main issue is exactly what the OP brought up. They are not getting enough experience in the lower levels before hitting the big time.

I can’t remember which game it was but there was one not too long ago with a female ref who was abysmal. Maybe she just had a bad day.

Looking forward to the Competency Crisis moving to the cockpit.

5% of active commercial pilots, and 6% of air force pilots are already women. 15% of student pilots are currently women, so those numbers will go up as the old guard retires.
