LW Central without Tingley is going to need to play the perfect game to advance

Coach Woodburn took a struggling program and turned it around quick

next year will be the first group under his system their entire 4 years of HS

I believe that with a little more time LWC is going to make some adjustments that makes them a consistent in state powerhouse

Perfect game to advance vs. a 6-4 Rita team? Tingley played 3 quarters this year, they have managed pretty well without him. Rita may be slight favorites with the game being at home and Rita's Strength of Schedule but don't try the sandbag route with saying they have been hurting without a player who had 2 partial games and 170 total yards on the season. They have gone 7-1 without him. They have weapons.

If Jonas Williams reinjures his foot/ankle - then Palatine over LWE, otherwise not so much.

They've been a different team the last 5 games since they got eight of their nine injured starters back. First five: 2-3, gave up 178 points; second five 4-1, gave up 73 points - only loss in second five was to Fremd, and it was a 16-13 game until Fremd scored with 1:21 left in the game to cement it. The point is, win or lose I think they'll give LWE a good fight.

Are you saying Jonas got hurt again? He did play last week.

Remember Lincoln-Way East did beat up on Maine South and Maine South beat up Palatine so might be interesting but I am predicting a running clock.

No I'm not - I'm saying if he scrambles to avoid a sack and comes up limping - he's a week removed from a walking cast, so unlikely he's fully healed.

As for the Maine South comparison- Maine South is not the same team they were week one, and Palatine had seven starters sidelined for the Maine South game, including our best player missing the second half due to a "questionable" play at the end of the first half: https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/clips/ucl1639760a0e1758033334114 ; which was my point that PHS is not the same team they were back then either.

Yes, it's playoff football. I'm looking forward to watching this one tonight.

Watching recent Palatine game film just confuses me with matchups against LW East. There are missing pieces for the Griffins and the 8 of 9 returning is just not the case. But….you play who is able and move on.
Comparing Maine South versus Lincoln-Way East results is fools gold at best. The Hawks just made too many mistakes but moved the ball well even in a one sided loss. The MS then just could not score when it was available…not true today.
Palatine will be a challenge and interesting game but the Griffins should prevail.

Please don't tell me that #3 was ejected in that video clip because of that blind side block.

The IHSA has been repeatedly telling officials NOT to eject someone for a hit like that. A 15-yard penalty absolutely yes, an ejection NO NO NO.

No. Watch #7 for MS grab #14 from PHS from the back and whip him down. #14 had to leave at halftime to get his shoulder x-rayed. Missed second half most of next two games..all loses

Word is Jonas has been playing on a bad ankle all year. You could see him favoring it between plays last week, but during the action — especially when he scrambled twice — it didn’t seem to slow him down. If a defense can consistently pressure him, it could potentially impact his effectiveness, but that remains a big question mark.”

Bishop Mac & Bradley both played weak schedules & will get exposed
Bradley played 6 teams that made the playoffs and beat 5 of them. 4 of them are still playing this weekend. Only loss was by a score to LWC. Hardly a weak schedule. They had an impressive offense. They could’ve won tonight. STL just outmuscled them in the 4th quarter. That’s CCL football for you.
