Man, that's gonna hurt for SJs. Now Rick's REALLY gonna be pissed his team gave up nearly 50 in the second half. Know this was won in DOT but you can't give a team 47 points in a half and expect to win very often.

Sucks for SJs. Hate to see that.

I think Rick won't be happy about a lot more than that now.
Probably. But that's the main reason the game even got to this point. They gave up 47 points and only score 33 in the second. 14 points differential. That will cost you games.

You might want to wait for zeros on the clock to post things like this.

And yet when I say that in our games, people get grumpy. I usually don't for that reason. Whelp, they lost that one all on their own. They were up 6 with like a minute left. That's a rare Rick choke.

You sure about that?!
Not my fault they choked that away. If you are up 5 with 9 seconds left, you should win. That's all on them.

How not to lose this game:

1. Don't miss 12FTs.
2. Don't give up 47 points in the 2nd Half.

Do that and SJs wins this by 10 easy.

I still don't get the new Pitino love now. Screw him.
Some of us have moved on and are now thankful for a coach that took us from probation to #1 in the nation in two years. Maybe you should be grateful. Without Pitino, there's a good chance we'd be Indiana right now. We were trending towards disaster in the late-80s.

It's called "life's too short to be pissed off about a 25 year old grudge that had nothing to do with you."

Side note: this loss is the most beautiful thing that could have happened for Pitino. St. John's got punked and shouldn't have won the game by how soft they played down the stretch. They gave up the ball on rebounds, turned it over, took bad shots, played bad defense. Their threes gave them the lead late, but there was nothing else indicating a hint of desire at the end of the game.

They looked like emasculated eunuchs for the last 10 minutes of the game.

Pitino will use this.

Rick is still dead to me, I enjoyed that ending :D
Says the guy who loved him some Calipari all the way until the bitter end.

Figures you'd have a feminine catty grudge against Pitino but not Calipari - ya know, the coach that tried to turn out program into an ash heap.

I stopped trying to convince you long ago once it became clear you supported Cal until the end.

Watch the replay that clock started way way late it was touched by a St John's player then knocked up in the air then Baylor guy got it and the clock was still at 4.1 that entire way to that point.

I know they haven’t played anybody yet but vandy looks vastly improved. They won’t be the pushovers they normally are
