A number of folks on here are hoping Johnson and Lewis end up here, and that sentiment seems to be gaining some traction with concerns over scholarship allocation at USC. I don't think the scholarship thing is an issue -- you make guys fit if you really want them. I think we get Blades and that's it. I'd love to be wrong, but I am still only guardedly optimistic after the Army AA game.
I think you may be right. We have a decent shot at Lenoir and that O guy too, but sadly, I think our class stops at 20 scholarships with Blades (Blades is a damn good get, too, he's not the bummer; the bummer is falling 2 or 3 kids short of our goal and not getting at least 4 receivers).
This is exactly the sort of thing I am talking about, people thinking with their hearts and wishes and not their heads. The only evidence you've provided is rather weak. You keep trying to argue that Calvin would not decommit if Johnson and Lewis weren't N. But as jflores pointed out in another thread, the goal all along was to get all of them and that never caused him to hesitate before. Secondly, you seem to think Calvin needs some additional reason to be a flake and back out of his commitment, as if pressure from his mother and whatever else is up with him personally is not sufficient. We've seen him decommit three times now (if you count as a silent commitment to N back at the AA game). We don't need to go fishing for reasons for him to do so now, and the reason you came up with just so happens to result in a dream recruiting coup for us, which you are now stating in the declarative mode as if it's a sure thing.
