Final Four

[Scott559]

Sounds like Geno is pissed because Dawn won the battle of working the officials.

[jwgohawks]

Never thought I'd side with Dawn Staley, but what whiny beotch Geno. Sore loser and poor sport. UConn team at least more mature and still stuck through the handshake line.

[Franisdaman]

Geno, refusing to shake hands....

[longliveCS40]

Geno is an *******.

[AFM22]

Geno acting like a prick? Couldn’t be.

Geno is an insufferable ***. Dawn is a smug idiot. They were bound to lock horns at some point.

[AFM22]

Staley is a POS too

Ngl I like Staley

[MarylandHawkeye]

I like Staley too. NEVER liked Geno, guy's got no class.

[Hawkeye54545]

Geno is such a POS with a face that just begs to be punched. A 9.9 on the punchable face meter.

[AFM22]

I like Staley too. NEVER liked Geno, guy's got no class.

Staley had that one instant where she took something Bluder said out of context, but outside of that she’s not that bad.

it was a heat of the moment reaction and she just misunderstood. I doubt her or Bluder even think about it anymore.

[QChawks]

I’m having PTSD watching UCLA

[Anon1755405505]

Both SC and UCONN missed a ton of layups. That's what still makes watching women's basketball like a high school boy's game.

[Denmar]

Didn’t watch the 2nd half but SC only had 8 fouls called against them the entire game. 22-6 in FT’s. Good officiating or not?

[Anon1750875978]

Good strategy by UCLA using fouls at the end of the quarter to prevent Texas from getting off a good shot.

That is exceptional coaching.

[GeorgePeeples2]

UCLA gets first foul called with 3.8 seconds left in 1st quarter.

Close must frequent our board

It was a moving screen !

[TruthSerium]

Staley is a POS too

This. They both are whiney cry babies.

[The Big Z]

Crazy physical here.

[Wobmam Rulez!]

The officials have turned both games into rugby matches. This is not basketball or enjoyable to watch.

[GeorgePeeples2]

Crazy physical here.

”Playing through contact” as the announcers like to say.

[IowaCityLit]

These games are ugly because the teams are finally playing against teams of their caliber. The size and length and athleticism is the difference.

Iowa In the backcourt and wing positions just would be overwhelmed by these teams.

[Wobmam Rulez!]

Physical contact is still a foul. And as I typed that, another foul happened without a whistle.

[Denmar]

Geez, they forget to pack their whistles?

[Wobmam Rulez!]

We're on pace for a 43-45 type game. Like, a bad high school game.

[GeorgePeeples2]

2 fouls total in 2nd quarter with 1:17 left.

[2432Hawk]

Should be some good games tonight

You were saying?

This game is UGLY

[2432Hawk]

S Carolina defense was just way too good. UConn couldn’t get anything easy. SEC just so deep in women’s bball. UConn just didn’t look battle tested.

Because they weren't

[IowaCityLit]

It’s because both teams are finally playing their equal in athleticism.

Iowa is WAY behind in this area. But so is every B10 team not named UCLa or (next year) USC

[GeorgePeeples2]

UCLA with a 6-point second quarter. Yikes.

[longliveCS40]

20-17 at halftime. Yikes. This isn't going to help women's college basketball ratings in the post CC/AR era...

I wouldn't call body checking athleticism. Yes they may be equal but how would anyone know when refs let games turn into this trash.

Not. Rugby match, ugly basketball, turrible officiating.

[LetsGoHawks83]

So any ladies from UCONN that don't want to play for an entitled prick?

[IowaCityLit]

Oh definitely. But these teams are just built differently. It really is a stunning contrast.

[Tom Paris]

Both of them are crybabies when they lose. It’s easy to be gracious were you’re constantly kicking people’s butts. Dawn was a whiner when Iowa beat them.

It's because the officials aren't calling shid. Neither team shot a free throw due to fouls (not including a shooting foul). When was the last time we've watched a half where that happened?

It's 20-17. That's normally a 1st quarter score. Fugg, the officials have ruined the women’s Final Four.

[Franisdaman]

So classy
