Bizarre in many ways. Warner is an NAIA school. Why would SFA even schedule them, and vice-versa? SFA is an FCS (1AA) school, meaning 65 scholarships to give, and has countless other options, including Div. II (Shipp and Bloom level), to schedule a gimme home game. And why would Warner subject their players and coaches to what they knew was going to be a rout? The money payout could not have been enough to prostitute themselves to this degree. Or, maybe it was.
As a college football fan, I have little respect for this (outside of the players who gave their best) all around. Those 98 points should have more asterisks than we can count.
