Final UK vs UofL.....

UK defeats the Cardinals by a final of 8-3 tonight @ The Cliff. Cats get a 3 run homer from Thomas Bernal, and a solo shot from Javon Shelby. Spencer Jack very impressive in 2 and 2/3 innings, only Card base runner a questionable HBP.
Cats now 20-9 on the season, with a win over another Top 10 squad. UofL ranked 8th, and UK ranked 19th.
UK welcomes Florida this weekend for a key SEC east series.

Great game for us. I like to beat Louisville, but we really need to get more SEC series. Hopefully we can take one this weekend against Florida. If we want into the post season those are the games we need to win. But of course, taking some from Louisville really helps.

Agree Comeback, we need to take our share of SEC series, starting with Florida would be great. Of course we did take the USC series, and SHOULD have taken the Bama series. A mid-week win over a Top-10 team is always great too, especially when it's UofL !
