I don't like these late games. That will be 1 am game in my location on Saturday.
One of the few things I don't like about living in the eastern time zone are games (in any sport) starting at 8 pm. This means it will be at least 11 pm when it's over.
I did not have this problem living in Houston, but after visiting it annually since I left in 1986, it's become too big, too crowded and, as always, too hot and humid for me. And as I approach 70, I find I can tolerate Connecticut winters better than Houston's heat.
To me, Houston is a young person's place.
Ditto.I agree. I lived in Houston from 1970-1978. My wife and I agree that was the best time of our lives. Now....neither of us could tolerate the summers. Oklahoma weather isn’t that great, but tolerable.
This is why I like living on the left side. Az doesn't change times so we are on Pacific for the first half of the season and Mountain for the second half and bowl season. I like games that start at 9 am, 12:30 pm or 5 pm Pacific (cork popping time). Since I spend a good bit of time outside the US I am a slave to radio broadcast and Youtube recordings delayed by a few hours to a few days. I keep my phone handy to check scores in the night. One of the few things I don't like about living in the eastern time zone are games (in any sport) starting at 8 pm. CT, I love Arizona but I am a warm weather bird. We had our choice of where we wanted to live when coming from Dubai. We looked all over the south from Florida to California and settled on Scottsdale after an exhaustive search. I bought our lot (1.2 acre) in 1998 when the community was just developing. There are plenty of communities in North Scottsdale that would be considered 55 plus with houses ranging from $500K to $12 million depending on size and the community. I live in Talus at Troon North on the golf course. My street is a cul-de-sac with mostly retired snowbirds (part time residents). Pinnacle Peak is the general area. The house across the street is on the market for $3,899,000 (6,500 ft2). Can I put a bid in for you?Scottsdale,
How is it living there ? Is there a 55-plus community ?
If it has indoor plumbing and cable TV.....sure.CT, I love Arizona but I am a warm weather bird. We had our choice of where we wanted to live when coming from Dubai. If, by chance, OU ends up in the Fiesta Bowl then everyone is invited for pregame party. The stadium has a surrounding sports village suitable for serious consumption for actual game times for those without tickets.I think Scottsdale should be hosting all the available Sooner watch parties !
I'm certain they would take your check. You might not get the deed until it goes through the bank. You know the saying, the bigger the check the higher the bounce.Would they take a personal check? LOL
Sounds FUN! I'll dig out my old Hooter's Uni from the moth balls and volunteer to handle the Bar-Hop Detail...I'll round up 'My Girls' and we'll take one for the team! If, by chance, OU ends up in the Fiesta Bowl then everyone is invited for pregame party. If OU's D can continue to improve then it is going to have to be one of the all time great coaching moves on Rileys part. It also is going to make Mike Stoops look even worse if thats possible
