Finally beginning to lose faith

I've been a Stoops supporter but after yesterday I'm not sure he can get it done here. I honestly thought we would win 6 and maybe get lucky with a 7th. At this point I can't see a win against ul, UGA, Bama, UT, MSU. The other SEC games are toss ups. I'm now beginning to fear a 4 or 5 win season. If Stoops, can't rally this team to a bowl this year I can't see him recovering. I hope he proves me wrong but I'm not seeing it.

I'd be surprised if we win 4. We have nothing on either side of the line and very little heart.

For the record, I was being optimistic at 4-8 before the season started, but that shows you what I know.

What have you got to lose , fb has always been bad . Even if it ultimately doesn't work out for Stoops the facilities have been upgraded , in large part because boosters liked him . Given that , he did UK football a huge service whether on field success happens during his tenure . So if you have any chance of hiring the elusive big time coach , the upgrades will only help .

Will a 3 win season get Stoops fired?
I really think a 3 win season will result in a buyout cheaper than what we owe him. He will only hurt himself by staying and continuing to suck. That is why I think filling this position will be very hard. Coaches come here to die, and coming here makes you less marketable. The fact that Dawson is doing better at USM with less talent than he was able to do here makes everyone not want to come here.

Its not just that we're losing.. its how we are losing. We are 2 for 2 in being embarrassed.

I've always felt a coach should have 5 years when he's hired, but that's with the understanding that he continues to improve. This is Stoops 4th year and his recruits. I'm not interested in excuses at the present time. I've heard to many excuses from the President of the United States about it being Bush's fault, after he's been in office 8 years.
Like we always said when hunting in Eastern, Ky., "When the tailgate drops, the ******** stops."

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

I thought UK would win four games max. Now, I see them as beating New Mex State and Austin Peay and maybe, MAYBE Vanderbilt. That's it.

I really started watching UK football during the mid 70's so I was lucky enough to witness a few good years and the Claiborne era. Up until last year, I probably could have counted on one hand the number of games I missed or didn't find a way to listen to.

The Auburn game followed by our effort against EKU was a defining moment for me. For the first time in my life I became apathetic...I didn't watch a single game or invest any time into following this program because it's just not worth the mental anguish. It's like going back to the chick who keeps jilting you...just not worth it.

I love this program and the players but just can't let it take it's tole on my life until someone steps in and says "enough is enough". That's going to have to be the fans because this failed experiment has been going on for decades.
