I read that they were stuck because wingnuts want rid of the individual mandate. But they know that they need the mandate to make any plan solvent. It's complicated. [roll]

Which is consistent with their hypocrisy. Conservatives have always advocated personal accountability. The ACA insured personal accountability. They also seem to like the pre-existing conditions provision and the 26 year old/parents' plan issue. But put Obama's name on it, well by god, they hate it. Dumbasses. I'm convinced that they could copy the ACA and call it Trumpcare and the wingnuts would claim it was the greatest piece of legislation ever.
That sounds like what they are doing, albeit with a carrot instead of a stick*.
