100%. Rhule isn’t the answer. Dannen screwed himself by making it more expensive to remove him for a couple years.
Also, are we surprised a career .500 coach is .500 after 3 years here?

Well I said something similar today but not everyone unless we can find with cause against Rhule. Although today's performance should be. Financially we can't fire Rhule but everyone but ekeler needs walking papers

We wouldn't be here had he not fired Banker. Not saying he takes us to the promised land but I can guarantee he lasts 6 to 7 years and we go a different direction because Rhule wouldn't have been available.
I think you are correct...however, I am always reminded of Iowa's continued success with mostly average players. Maybe it is coaching.

Iowa had a good year because their traditional rivals Wisconsin and Minnesota were down. Iowa’s return specialist is anything but average and has the ability to take it to the house on every return. That is a huge momentum changer!
Cignetti was coaching James Madison at the time. We could have had him.

BS. There were and are many coaches available that would coach circles around this dipshit at a much cheaper rate. We just aren’t a serious program anymore who demands greatness. We are stuck with this for the foreseeable future. I have finally reached hopelessness with this program and think we are done for good.
He’d been a HC for over a decade by that point and had won everywhere he’d been. He should have been a known.
Besides that, the original point was that MR was the best available at the time. That would NEVER be the case at any point in time.
