Popes tenure will be shorter rather than longer. That was some Billy Clyde **** on the floor tonite. Not even close to what Kentucky basketball should be.
Unfortunately, I changed my opinion after what I saw tonight. I seen a coach that made no adjustments on his offense. It was basically one on one playground ball. You have to understand the strength and weaknesses of your team which dictates what type of offense you should run. Basic fundamentals from returning players also show no improvement.
He is circling the drain. Need to deal with this quickly. New AD, and need to find a killer.
Ugliest offensive performance from a UK team I’ve seen in quite some time. Sticking with what I’ve been saying since Michigan state game, this is not a tournament team. They aren’t going to be able to win enough big games. Will be looking at 5-6 losses prior to SEC and looking at another 7-9 losses there. Bubble team at best.
Sadly I paid money to see this next one. Will be the last dime they get from me until we have a proper coach, AD, and roster

St. Johns and Gonzaga could end up being a repeat of what Mich St did to them. I dont think I've ever seen a team that is so bad around the rim at finishing and I wont even get into the just atrocious 3 point shooting. Something just seems terribly off with this bunch. Hope Coach Pope gets it turned around, Go Cats!

Imo it isn't time for that but he should absolutely be grilled on why we aren't running his offense. We're trying to be someone else and it isn't working.

Personally I’d take a chance at Vogel if a ridiculous offer is given to Oats but doesn’t take it.
These guys are not tough and don’t play tough. Throw in the fact that his system was supposed to guarantee quality looks and yet looks like complete garbage….yeah, there’s a real chance now of the NIT.

Two improbable comebacks against Duke and Gonzaga last year really have me questioning Pope now. We're those lucky wins and this is the real Pope? O for every single game against decent teams.

Problem is, UNC was without their top guard as well. So the injuries kind of dont matter, even if we had 2 guys out.
Yes, both of those teams absolutely choked in the second half. Those weren’t master classes put on by Pope. He was merely the recipient of two ridiculous choke jobs by the opposition.

We can't run his offense because he didn't bring in any real shooters from the portal except Williams, who is shooting 20%. CC developed nicely, but outside of that, no one can hit a shot.
Pope bet on toughness type dudes to be able to overcome. I like Aberdeen and Mo, but they simply are not super studs. We lack talent badly, plus dudes cannot stay healthy. Will JQ even play now? What's the point? This team doesn't do anything but brick bad shots. Maybe his rebounding could improve if he played.
Since the accountants are already on the clock working out Stoops buyout. Can't we just add Popes buyout to the numbers and get a two for one special going?
