Yeah, Jay Wright is itching to leave Nova where he has more resources, and Bobby Hurley is trying to come here once his suspension is over.

Either a) you think Young was an offensive stud, who was a Pike recruit as a transfer, or b) we don’t need a single offensive stud to rely on, based on the prior 2 years.
Pike seems like a great guy. For his sake I hope he manages to nab some transfers. Since this season is circling the drain it’d also be nice to see Jones get some valuable minutes, otherwise the only transfers will be OUT of the program, not in.

The issue is he’s already showed he can’t recruit the portal. The future looks ugly.

It was well known we needed a center this year to contribute major minutes…look who he got out of the portal. The minutes were to give, he just can’t recruit.
@WPUknight The minutes weren’t there. Guys like Harrar would’ve wanted starter minutes. Cliff was the starter and plays 25ish MPG. Other players chose to go elsewhere for various reasons (Wahab was one and he hasn’t even been that good). That’s it, end of the road.
He’s technically still a freshman and we still had a slim shot at March Madness. That’s pretty much gone now so hopefully usage goes up. Otherwise I’m not sure what’s going on other than maybe something behind the scenes.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, what Pike did in the last 4 minutes of the HOU game possibly cost us the sweet 16 but definitely cost us offense recruits. In this day and age, what top high school players want to pay for a coach that plays prevent offense
