Yeah, he has to go.

He cannot recruit, not even a little bit.

No boosters are going to fund this again. He couldn’t put together a team with $20 million, how bad will it be when it’s $8-10?

He needs to be fired. I’m at the game. I’m calm. I’m just letting you know it’s bad. Obviously you’re watching but it’s bad. Real bad. He’s got to go.
I feel you, man. I’m not downplaying how bad it is. I wish I knew anything that’d make the experience better. I know that no one paid big money to watch THIS level of all systems failure. It is very bad, I agree.

I’m fine on the experience it is what it is. I don’t like the thought of being stuck with Pope.

I feel that. I just don’t think we can move on because 1.) we haven’t seen the full product, 2.) last year was nothing like this one, 3.) we just dropped massive bags to move Stoops. I hate that men’s basketball has fallen like this — and no matter which side of the coaching fence anyone is on, all UK fans are absolutely miserable right now.

Maybe not now although it should happen. If not at the close of the year you can kiss NIL and recruiting goodbye. Its a sad day all the way around.

If this keeps up, Pope won’t be here for year 3. To much money involved.

I feel ya its totally embarrassing and I can't prop Pope up anymore. The whole team has quit on him and dont think they respect the guy at all. Not sure what's happened behind the scenes.
Small thing here —- when Lowe was yelling at the sideline earlier, he kept yelling “Pope…Pope”. That’s not a good sign…I might be reading too much into it but a player shouldn’t be referring to their coach by their name. You may be right — may not trust his leadership.

That’s what I told my ol lady and kids. Literally maybe the worst *** whooping of my lifetime. This isn’t Kentucky basketball
Depressing how unfixable it appears as well. One of those games where you start to wish you didn’t care as much. These kind of losses are the kinds of things that make you start caring. Step one is becoming apathetic. Step two you are now Indiana.

My oldest son just turned 9 about a week ago. Both of my boys 8 and 9 are new to the Kentucky basketball thing. Just now really interested in sports hardcore and all that. I didn’t think they really cared to much.

I looked over beside me and seen my son crying and started freaking out. I thought something was seriously wrong. When I finally got him to calm down and speak he told me he was crying because we were losing. At the time we were down about 25. Broke my heart.

I felt so bad man. All I could tell him was it was ok and the true fans have to go through the bad times to make the good ones even better.

I don’t know when it will be but we need our program to get back where it’s supposed to be. What can I do as a fan to make a difference. Seriously

That’s rough, man. At least your kids still care —- that’s the lifeblood of what can get the program back on the right track. Tears are much better than what I feel —- dead inside, shocked, lost. Losses should be sad like that what your children felt —otherwise your program becomes dormant and you lose the identity that made it special in the first place.

Sadly I lost the sad feeling too. Cal made me numb. Pope is giving me a laugh. Not funny at all but you get it.

No apathy from me. That’s what Barnhart wants. 6-6 in football is a fireable offense in this league. Kentucky basketball losing 10 games is f’n nonsense. Anyone responsible needs to be fired. Get this administration and coaching staff gone now. Not tomorrow, now.

.
we lost by 34 to Duke one year.
And Gonzaga lost by 40 to a team coached by someone we should have hired two years ago but our stupid AD gave Cal another year to coach before he pulled the rug out from his smug a** and left for Arkansas and it was too late to hire Dusty May. Mitch was also way too obsessed with bringing Scott Drew here for some reason and then was shell shocked when his family wanted nothing to do with Lexington so he just hired the first guy who he knew would say yes.
