Yea I have been really confused by his coaching this year compared to last as I said last week he shouldn’t be this bad. But with team turmoil I guess it just made the job impossible perhaps.
Staying healthy is the most important aspect right now. We might have a season or two where we have to be down before a restructure is in place. I’m guessing JMI is causing the issue as most of the inside guys are saying. We need to be really dominant from here on out and then get some kind of restructure. I’m just terrified about the future.
Man for real. It’s just like Indiana. Good lord chill out we’ve got a lot of issues right now with recruiting and getting these guys to get to the final four. We didn’t beat Arizona, we didn’t stop the Alabama drought. We’re trending in a positive direction with tons of uncertainty. We didnt hang a banner lol. It’s the same ones man, they do this every time. I just ignore most of it. They don’t have any standards.
If we win 14 conference games and win the SEC then come tell us how much we suck. I’ll take that crow all day. I want this team to make me eat crow, I want to wear my Kentucky gear everyday with pride like I used to. Not always hearing, bad game last night huh? Pope may not be the guy you all thought! When I go out in public.
But he didn’t whiff on the key players that won the game today, right? Cmon, you can praise pope/team and save the negativity for another day, right?
Had Pope gotten Yaxel we wouldn’t even be in this position. We’d be in the top 10, not desperately trying to win every game to make the tournament.
JQ is great but would we have gotten him if he were injured?
He has to get his first picks. Stop pretending Kentucky is below bidding wars. Step up against Mitch and JMI and show us he’s got the balls to lead this program. He’s smart enough to coach here, but his demeanor leaves much to be desired.
I’m trying to be nice here, I’m willing to give him a chance to change if he shows it to me, but we can’t have a coach who is good at some things and terrible at others. He has to improve and quickly or he will not be here by the end of this year or next.
