It’s willful ignorance not to know how large and what is spent on the staff at this point. I and a couple of others have been posting about it for 2-3 years at this point.

I have doubts that Zinn or anyone else can break through the systemic and bureaucratic culture of failure at Rutgers. If she isn't afraid of ruffling feathers, and if she can make decisions and carry them out without others' approval, there are things she can do to shake things up and light a fire under the remaining staff. Since Schiano has contract protection, make up the money by terminating non-essential staff. Put Schiano in a position where he could contribute the most good; wasn't he a decent defensive coach (as hard as that is to believe)? Get the balance of what's needed from other creative cuts and contributions from sources that want to see a big change. NO MORE coach hires that haven't had successful head-coaching records. Don't shop from the bargain bin. That said, when it finally does happen, I fully expect Rutgers to hire another program's assistant from the bargain bin, as they have since Anderson in '82(?). Then they'll start again from the beginning - seven unsuccessful years to turn things around, then find another. In programming language, it's called a loop.

She 100% runs the dept. Greg Schiano reports to her. Hobbs allowing Greg to run his failing operation unfettered was a massive, massive mistake. She and Tate didn’t allow that to continue. Said this in another thread. It’s widely known in the dept Hobbs used to walk to Schianos office for meetings. Greg now walks to Keli’s. Small thing, but very telling.

Wisconsin has invested a lot more money to be successful than we have. They have so much more NIL because success is important to their fanbase. Their campus is much more beautiful than ours. Greg Schiano isn’t the reason recruits choose Wisconsin.

Infinite loops are the result of bad programming. You need to hire another developer and fix the code.

The biggest issue is we hired freshers from India rather than seasoned veterans from USA who actually know what they’re doing, because we didn’t have budget. Now everyone is running around because the results aren’t what they need to be. Developers have to get up to speed quickly, though they flopped on their first two tasks.

Next time around, if you change the project manager, you need a bigger budget, otherwise you’ll end up with the same result.
