Obviously you're joking but Ohio whipped our arses twice this year.
They started the season in much better shape than everyone else in the country, and now they are paying for it. Turns out, you can only hold it for so long.
If I'm the tOSU coaching staff, I bump Bouzakis and Davino to 133 and 141 for 2026-2027. Bouazkis just doesn't have a gas tank after the first period and 141 is a black hole for them next year.

Not sure if I agree, as Ohio State is #2 in the country and has done better under Tom Ryan than under any other coach they’ve ever had.
But wow, I didn’t realize you were so against Brands. I mean, if you want Tom Ryan fired, you must REALLY want Brands gone. Considering they’ve wiped the mat with us twice this year and all (including just last week). Anyways, great to know you’re so adamantly on the fire Brands train. I honestly did not know before now, but you’ve really announced yourself!
It just goes to show the powerhouse that PSU is right now. OSU has been great so far this year and they got killed by PSU. I am not sure what it is going to take to get a team to really be able to compete year in and year out with PSU.

What's sad is we're not even close to HS wrestlers wanting to see anyone other than Penn State be at the top.
To be fair, Iowa was that way for a while, but once Gable retired, that meant blood in the water and everyone was ready to see who would take Iowa's place, and all of the sudden you hear the "horror stories" from opposing fans about how terrible and elitist Iowa wrestling fans were and how Iowa wasn't as great as people made them out to be etc etc.
At least their 2nd and have young talent. We just had Senior night for by far our best wrestlers and besides Arnold we don't have equivilant replacement talent.
If you check on the streak they had two losses to ASU and Iowa 6-7 seasons ago. I think both were by less than three points. A big if but if they win those two the streak would be around 145 or so now.
Gable retired 29 years ago. Sanderson won his first title 15 years ago. Up and comers have only seen PSU at the top.
The gap was supposed to be closing, according to some, but sure seems like PSU has gotten better while Iowa has regressed. Not sure who is the answer but trying to beat superior wrestlers with no offense is clearly not a winning strategy

Obviously you don’t understand sarcasm! I am a huge Tom Brands. It’s all in the recruiting and I believe they are making the corrections. Our fans are the worst and the best at the same time. It will take a little time but I honestly believe the change is happening.

It really is bad for the sport and that’s not a shot at PSU, they’ve done what any team should try to do and assembled the best roster they could
Its how they are coached too. You can't just push forward anymore. Telford has to go. All the wrestlers wrestle like morningstar. Until they change on how they coach and practice, this will continue.
I know a guy on the Iowa team- his dad was a big Iowa fan forever- in high school all he talked about was the hawkeyes, because of his dad’s influence. That’s a giant reason he is there, now. But you are right, the kids in HS now have no memory of Iowa being on top.
And look what that did to Iowa basketball. If this doesn’t get turned around or Iowas State doesn’t get considerably better and make noise at NCAA’s, the only thing Iowa is going to be known for is potatoes.
