Someone has to take the fall for the low iq decision to extend the idiot in command of the football program.
How did it not increase the buyout? He added two more years at 12million plus guaranteed. Appears to me the buyout increased by 24-25 million.Dannen did not hire Ruhle. And the extension did not increase the already huge buyout. Dannen played his cards right at the time. If anything the extension was NU friendly, It increased Ruhle's buyout to 15 million.

Uhhh, Common Core math dingle. LOLHow did it not increase the buyout? He added two more years at 12million plus guaranteed. Appears to me the buyout increased by 24-25 million.
Matt is the #15 highest paid coach in college football. We're not far from being the #15 team in our league.I cannot disagree more. There was objectively no reason to extend him. He had done fine to that point, nothing special or otherworldly, just fine. They're paying him like he's otherworldly, elite. They're extending him at that rate and expectations. They could pay 1/10th of what they're paying him to another coach for a similar result today. It was a panic move and we're just delaying the inevitable firing by 3 more years.
If I thought that firing another AD or even head coach would make the program better in the next 3-5 years, I'd be right with you. The program is a shambles, and I think that it has a lot more to do with a decade plus of players taking losses way too easily than it does our AD or HC. Players have to change that, and for whatever reason, they don't want to or aren't allowed to at Nebraska anymore. No matter who is coaching.Someone has to take the fall for the low iq decision to extend the idiot in command of the football program.
We had players blow multiple assignments today that ended in points for Iowa after huge chunk plays. Is that coaching or is that not having good enough players? Do your job. Make a tackle when you have a chance. Don’t blow your pass coverage. If I thought that firing another AD or even head coach would make the program better in the next 3-5 years, I'd be right with you. Yes.We had players blow multiple assignments today that ended in points for Iowa after huge chunk plays. Is that coaching
Our coaches don’t get bought out. We pay them to get the **** out.Dannen did not hire Ruhle. And the extension did not increase the already huge buyout. Dannen played his cards right at the time. If anything the extension was NU friendly, It increased Ruhle's buyout to 15 million.
Year 3 and Matt’s best player is a Frost guy. So yes this is all on Rhule. This is the team he assembled. It’s on him if players aren’t good enough and the coaches if players are blowing assignments. He managed this roster:We had players blow multiple assignments today that ended in points for Iowa after huge chunk plays. Is that coaching or is that not having good enough players? Do your job. Yeah I’m kind of in the camp that we’re kind of stuck now and better hope Rhule can win 7 again next year. Looking at the schedule 5-6 looks more likely to me. I don’t think changing horses in mid-stream makes much sense. I would bet money Rhule gets a minimum of 3 more years. If I thought that firing another AD or even head coach would make the program better in the next 3-5 years, I'd be right with you. Seriously?. It’s our running back.Who do you believe is our best player?
I didn’t even find that question worthy of an answer.Seriously?. It’s our running back.
Well actually Frost didn’t want EJ. Ron Brown was who was high on EJ and insisted we offer. Interesting since Minnesota didn’t offer him.Seriously?. It’s our running back.
He’s the obvious answer because he’s a RB. We have another guy or two might eventually end up higher on draft boards. I didn’t want to assume to know what he was thinking.I didn’t even find that question worthy of an answer.

Doesn’t get any more naive than these 2 idiotic responses. So it’s everyone else’s but the coaches fault? Totally delusional. Rhule is obviously in over his head, has no idea how to field a physical team or manage a game, is TERRIBLE at hiring coaches and developing players. None of that is even disputable lolWe had players blow multiple assignments today that ended in points for Iowa after huge chunk plays. Is that coaching or is that not having good enough players? There’s no point in correcting the unconditional butt kissers about the extension costing NU more money. They’ve latched onto a talking point and they are sticking to it. Rhule's remaining contract years are not 100% guaranteed, but he gets 90% of the base salary if he is fired. That was already the case before the extension, so the extension puts NU on the hook for about another $21 million. How did it not increase the buyout? He added two more years at 12million plus guaranteed. Appears to me the buyout increased by 24-25 million.

Where did I absolve the coaches? Do the players not get any blame dipsh##?Doesn’t get any more naive than these 2 idiotic responses. So it’s everyone else’s but the coaches fault? Totally delusional. we have better athletes than IowaWe had players blow multiple assignments today that ended in points for Iowa after huge chunk plays. Is that coaching or is that not having good enough players? Do your job. Make a tackle when you have a chance. Don’t blow your pass coverage.![]()
sadly this is true.....but the low iQ types on this board will argue thisOur coaches don’t get bought out. We pay them to get the **** out.
We do not have better athletes in the lines and at QB. Those are pretty important.we have better athletes than Iowa
Iowa has 10x better coaching than we do
you thought we would beat IowaWe do not have better athletes in the lines and at QB. Those are pretty important.
Um no. The score I gave “easy” was 31 to 24 but I said 24 was probably too generous for TJ. I figured a 2 TD beat down.you thought we would beat Iowa
And I said I gave the edge to Iowa. But, I NEVER predict scores when its such a game of momentum.Um no. The score I gave “easy” was 31 to 24 but I said 24 was probably too generous for TJ. I figured a 2 TD beat down.

The wallowing in self pity and blame assignment is an interesting post game ritual for Husker fans. And I said I gave the edge to Iowa. But, I NEVER predict scores when its such a game of momentum.
I figured you were doing shrooms.proper coaching teaches you where to be and when

My wallowing in pity for the Huskers ended about 15 years ago. We haven't played a game that mattered since then. And we're not going to for what looks like a long time. The wallowing in self pity and blame assignment is an interesting post game ritual for Husker fans.
