First 5 SEC Games

Here are the first 5 SEC games. After our nice win against St. Johns, lets gauge BBN's pulse to see how many we win.

I am skipping the Bellermine game because that will be a win.

Vote based off a healthy Lowe and JQ playing at least 20 minutes a game and possibly starting.

Below is the schedule for the next 5 games.

4 wins would be a great start but I believe they can win them all. 3-2 would have been ok if the non conference went better

I think we can beat Alabama this year, but @ UT will be tough. Barnes is a just a better coach at this kind of system and they will be gunning for us.

Call me crazy but I think it’s very realistic that at the end of January the cats are 16-6 and 7-2 in the SEC. That puts us top 15 again IMO. We’d have 2-3 more quality wins as well. The season is not lost us some want us to believe. Sure we have holes and most likely aren’t a contender for the title unless the stars align but we could be an elite 8/ Final 4 team if we perform to our ability.

Judging the team off so many games played down 2-3 of our top players is silly. Take 2-3 of the top 5 off any team and they will struggle mightily. I think we end up top 3 in SEC with a chance to win SEC tourney and a 3-4 seed in the NCAA tourney.

Looking at this list we could easily go 4-1 or 2-3. I say the likeliest scenario is we steal one on the road and go 3-2

I think the we will beat either Bama or Tenn, but I think we will beat Tenn. However, I could easily see us either beating both of them and loosing to @ LSU for some dumb reason lol.

The only way we can make it to the tourney is if these 4 things happen.

- Lowe and JQ play 20+ minutes a game and start.
- Our defense shows up like it did against St. Johns
- Aberdeen cannot stall offense as back up or starter PG.
- Pope stops with the stupid mass subs and plays:
Lowe, JQ, Oweh, Mo D and Williams, with Moreno, Aberdeen, Chandler, Jasper off the bench.

I voted 3 wins as well.

I haven't seen anything yet to make me think we can walk into UT or Bama and win. If we are at full strength we can at least compete and have a chance though.

I went with 5, were guessing, what the hell. Three are on the road, if we can go 5 and 0 on these, we will be right where the expert's predicted we could be this year. JQ has raised the bar.

I think we get 3 for sure. Possible 4th if we play our best at Bama or UT. Both are winnable games it feels like now.

Just guessing based on a few metrics and if we played them tomorrow. The LSU game will probably be close to pick’em. If we play well leading up to it, we could be a slight favorite.

I think we go 4-1 if we remain healthy. If we get into a rhythm all 5 games are winnable.

I haven't seen anything yet to make me think we can walk into UT or Bama and win. If we are at full strength we can at least compete and have a chance though.

Bama is a really good offensive team and playing at home will be a great test on where we are defensively. Make bama look even halfway pedestrian then our defense is on the right track and will only get stronger as the year progresses. Don’t expect to win but would like to see us be competitive and have a chance at least with 5:00 to go. Other 4 games are all winnable especially with our defensive play. UT will definitely be a battle but one I think we could steal if team continues to improve and keep MO, JQ, and Lowe healthy to play good minutes. Love to see 5-0 or 4-1 but 3-2 is most likely outcome which still is fine as long as we make the strides. I have more hope with this team with JQ on the floor now as he takes us up 2-3 notches defensively. Was really impressed with him against St. John’s.

Why? Just because that's what I hope will happen. Hope....it's an awesome word.

Now, for those keeping count, I was wrong that one time before. It didn't hurt too bad so I'm going to roll the dice again.

4 wins and 3 wins are completely perfectly tied at 31 votes a piece and that seems accurate because it's probably 50/50 which one of those it is. I don't think we can keep up with Alabama; they will just outscore us. I think we can beat Tenn even on the road. Tennessee plays physical and that seems to be the identity we're leaning into so I say we beat them at their game. What a tough start to the conference though, geez
