Here at Welsh-Ryan about 10 minutes before tip-off. There's about 200 people in the lower level right now, as the 12-11 Northwestern Wildcats face off with the 11-12 Rutgers Scarlet Knights. On the bright side, it can't get worse than the last two games, right? One bright spot against iowa was the shooting from Vic Law and the team as a whole. It'd be nice to see that carry over today.

The opening minutes of the game resemble the atmosphere in the crowd. The two teams are a combined 9-of-23 from the field and 1-of-8 from deep.

One day, Taylor’s going to tell his grandkids about the possession where he airballed an 18-footer, got the ball back, and bricked a 13-footer.

There’s a record in there somewhere.

Rutgers has long athletes and plays hard on defense, but they have no shot on most offensive possessions. It’s like watching mirror images.

State school grad Stephen Bardo couldn’t pronounce “infuriate” on the broadcast. It was worth watching just for that.

Iowa crushed our souls... I feel sorry for the guys. This is a confidence team... if they don't have it we lose to any team in Div1.. if they are feelin' it we can match up with anybody. Even with a tough b10 I thought we had enough talent to beat some of the weaker teams this year. I was wrong.

I mean we probably pull this game out... I'd say it's more than 50/50 at this point I just hate to see them playing this way right now after such an inspired game against Iowa.

Stupid snow storm means I'm sitting at home on the East Coast checking in online instead of sitting in brand new Welsh Ryan. Stupid snow storm!!

Rutgers: 34.5%/10%/25%
Northwestern: 34.6% / 12.5% / 50%

Late in the DePaul game, the color guy called it a good game. Mr. Wildcat corrected him: “Competitive.”
