The Cats open Big Ten play tonight vs. No. 4 Michigan State.

It’s the usual Starting Five, but it will be interesting to see how much time Young gets tonight.

Nice start, up 9-4.

That Buie to Audige fast break dunk was money. I think Nance might be able to take advantage of Kithier on the offensive end.

Nice first 15 minutes of basketball. Pulled Audige after his poor decisions. Greer is much, much better this year and Berry looks good.

Thoughts so far: much greater effort and hustle than against Pitt. We have potential if the energy is there. Not much in the way of offensive rebounding for either team so far - which is a big win vs MSU.

Gaines picked up two fouls in about a minute. Ouch. Audige is a weapon but isn’t our only weapon, as he still seems to think. Collins took a timeout specifically to talk to Audige and get him on the bench for a bit. Glad he did.

Good things happen if you are not destroyed on the boards.

Our defense, as usual, is competent.

Hope our offense remains capable. Because as much as we can defend, there’s no way MSU does not score more in the 2nd. If we don’t reach mid 70’s on offense we don’t win

Will 79 do?
