Well, it's gonna be a pretty weak crowd tonight. I got here about 15 minutes before the tip. Central Street was wide open and there were no lines for the parking lots. The place is maybe a quarter full right now with less than two minutes to tip.

I hate playing Penn State. It's always a game you expect NU to win, but they've split the last 10. Plus, this year, you don't want to be the first Big Ten team to lose to the Lions, who are 0-10. But at the same time, you know it's gonna be a dog - er, cat fight.

I hope to see Vic Law look more like the old Vic Law tonight. Hopefully, the time off gave him some time to rest up and heal.

I like the change in the starters - if Falzon isn't hot, he'll at least be guarded closely, and NU should find some O.

When Law takes those dumb shots, his butt needs to come out.

When I tuned in, we were up by 7. Now, we're down by 5. For the good of the team, I'm not going to watch anymore.

Northwestern is fortunate that PSU is struggling from the line. It is less fortunate that PSU is shooting more efficiently from beyond the arc than from the line.

This team is just exhausting to watch. So much bad offense and so little payoff.

Yeah, well said.

A couple good possessions there with Law penetrating and kicking out for 3s from Kopp and Turner. But that's about it recently.

This team is a function of just poor recruiting. Or at least what appears to be recruiting without a strategy. We have no point guard. We really don't have any two guards except maybe Taylor. We have no backup center that can compete at this level. That results in an abysmal offensive team.

Where are the students? The entire one side is St. Joe’s grade schoolers? Crowd is awful overall and refs are ridiculous.

And no obvious help is on the way either ...

I'm sure Law is injured and I feel for the kid, but he's hurting us more than helping us these days. Why the hell do you take a 22 footer when you get a new shot clock with 22 seconds left in the half????

Law had a couple of good assists, but otherwise was a total liability out there. Wow.

His only field goal was on a play at the rim that, in all honesty, was probably a travel.

I know this board has been like a firing squad going through each player, but ... Vic Law has to play better and smarter. Taking a 3 with 22 seconds left and no shot clock. Why?

The injury is somehow affecting his decision making, Collins won’t bench him. If it was a freshman he would be benched

22 on the game clock and no shot clock and Law throws up a 27 footer
I seriously think we need some coaching help on the offensive side. I can't speak to the recruiting, but we have to be able to score---at least a little bit.

Never thought I would say this, but Vic needs to sit for a while until he recovers from whatever is ailing him. He is forcing things that his body apparently cannot deliver.

Maybe he's just tired. He has been around a long time.

I get that something is off on his shooting that doesn’t effect his free throws. But I’m seeing bad decision making and poor choices that don’t seem related. That is far more troubling to me.

Man.... it looks like FS1 just decided to ignore our game during the half-time report. Can't say I blame them.

Worst team in the Big Ten? Fortunately it's a tough league so that doesn't mean we're a bad team just sad to see that we can't put away anyone at home.
