Should make Friday weigh ins a thing here. Just keep it honest.

InBody scan 4/30 @ 10:15 am:

Weight - 190.0
Skeletal Muscle Mass - 94.6
Body Fat Percentage - 13.8

InBody scan 5/15 @ 9:21:

Weight - 194.3
Skeletal Muscle Mass - 95.9
Body Fat Percentage - 13.9

I'll take an ⬆️of 4.3# in weight and 1.3# ⬆️ in muscle mass while keeping BF% the same over the course of 2 weeks. Short-term goal is weigh in @ 200#'s while keeping BF% below 15. Got BF% down to a 10.9% last summer and probably sacrificed muscle, as I clocked in at 183#'s.

Glad you asked, Rudd....

Skeletal Muscle Mass (SMM) is calculated by dividing appendicular lean mass by height, squared. This refers to the total weight of your skeletal muscles, which are the muscles connected to your bones and responsible for movement.

Or so says this printout sheet.

You've got the frame from your rugby days that if you did full body lifts 2-3 week, you'd keep that SMM and drop a few percentage points on BF in short order. Talking different person by year-end.

That awesome, @rudd1.

Gonna be a while til I get to those levels, but I will.

Had gotten down to 23% BF, but I don’t know WTF HAPPENED… I think my scale updated algortihm with its new UI…

Back down to 197. 32”-33” waist, from 44”
Look better
Tris, Shoulders are legit. Abs poking out a little

Slow and steady. Missed one day in gym in last 30.

-that's the plan... just gotta make time to add a day or two to lifting. Blessed with good genetics and the opportunity to play a **** ton of tennis to cover cardio.

-kook, what you've done so far is amazing. You should be proud.

⬇️1# (221)
⬇️.2% BF (17.8)
⬇️.3# MM

Limited on my cardio b/c hip is acting like a jive turkey and bike seems to be irritating it.
⬇️ 220
⬇️ 16.7%
⬆️ +1.1# MM

Let's effing go!! This is officially lower than any point in 24 with about 33 days left.

Tiring of chicken breast and veggie every single day. Hitting goal then immediate 30 day reset with solid surplus.

Weighed myself for the first time in a month and I'm up 2 pounds. Telling myself it's all muscle. Has to be, really, because I'm measurably stronger, look better, and my clothes fit differently in a good way.
Woot!

Clothes are the first to notice when you pack on the muscle mass.

Feeling that shirt tightness in the sleeves and across the chest/shoulders are great indicators of muscle growth.

Regrettably, during my bulk, my shirts also no longer fit around my torso lol

Hank, you see 8Sleep released version 5? Has a blanket that is also controllable? 😬
I'll check it out. I'm currently rawdogging without my 8Sleep for the first time this year while we are in Florida. Night one wasn't that bad. I miss it but at this time of year, it isn't as big a deal.

I'll tell you who can absolutely GTFO -- whoever installs smoke detectors and other random *** blinking lights in hotel rooms. Invariably, they are high on the ceiling and you can't disable them. I've tried taping over them and it doesn't work. My eye mask is the best I've got.

It is like they don't want you to sleep.

Dude, this is an absolute fact. I average about 120 nights per year in hotels. Courtyard Marriotts are the number one offender of this. There’s one north of Dallas I used to stay in where the fire detector’s “hey, just flashing so you know it’s on” light was basically a green strobe light. Pretty sure if you had epilepsy it would send you into a seizure. And I timed it. Would flash every minute. You could have your eyes closed and detect it. Virtually impossible to sleep in that situation. I had to take a CLEAN pair of my black lululemon underwear and put them over my eyes to finally sleep.

Gonna enter the Tony Friday Weight/Stat share:

This is my initial baseline 5/23 according to my Body Pod… not buying my BF% so I’m scanning tomorrow at gym.

➡️Weight 198.6
↘️Fat %. 24.6
↘️Visceral Fat index 10
↗️SMM : 98.6#
↗️BMR : 1785
↘️Metabolic Age : 49

Hope all tracks well for next week.

Firstly, I am now a 34/33 Waist and a bonafide L for shirts. This I thought impossible a year ago. However, I still have massive body image problems wearing fitted clothing. Bought some couture shirts this past week (Vilebrequin) that I felt my skin against the constraints of the cloth vessel I poured into… I thought I looked like a sausage, my wife thought I looked ‘hot’. Just not used to it. Weird mind games. I’m so used to hiding my sins behind baggy clothing.

Today…Up in everything during my lifts. 230lbs x 10 on the standing chest press today. Cable flys, 95# dumbbell pull overs x 10 as my closer. Look much thicker in back and lats.

However, in addition to my nagging hip/groin pull - you can add lower back pain doing hack squats on Monday. Trying to go slow with lotsa reps being safe… then Meathead Kook kicks in and I start loading 5 plates a side like a moron. Still not skipping

Action Bronson and I shared the Arsenal Chest fly machine earlier. Dude is really strong. Never leaves his Kareem Abdul Jabbar Lakers jersey…. I wonder if he washes it?

Trainer is out of town so rare off Friday for me. So no weigh in this week. Opted for a PT *** kicking instead. She has my lower back in great shape after that little flare up.

KK, you're probably due for a little short reverse diet. Build some muscle and cut again once your BF starts to rise too much.

Vilebrequin?! Heading to the Riviera soon?

Congrats on the progress and resulting sexiness.

Upped my calories per day by 500, to the 3500 to 4000 range. I’ll need some new tshirts soon, but the hope is that the extra nutrition will help push me through some plateaus.

I made the mistake of squeezing into a medium before taking LSD a few months ago. My brain continuously got stuck on imagining myself in sausage casing. “Yeah! Shirt too small,” I kept telling myself with a forced grin as a common refrain. “I’m a juicy sausage.”

Vilebrequin swim trunks are dope.

Fun thing about losing weight and building your physique... your body dysmorphia just gets worse.
Looked long and hard at some last year. Felt it might be a bit over the top for Knoxville. Lol
Ended up with a pair of Bather’s.

For bathing suits, I prefer Birdwells… timeless. Then spruce up the togs with lounge shirts from Tombolo (h/t my son) and Vilebrequin. Profit.

I say this as someone who dropped $3k on an AI mattress cover and $75 to Tyler Hansbrough solely to ridicule UKO on Cayts Paws, so take this with a grain of salt, but... $150 for swimtrunks?!?!?!?!

For $150, those trunks better have a built-in fleshlight or something.

I generally wear Birdies or Prana for trunks. This year my wife got me a pair of trunks with her picture on them. I guess the wedding ring wasn't a strong enough statement to the other sloots to keep their hands off this prime beef.

I went to Nordstrom yesterday and they were having their Memorial Day 60% off sale. I got a pair of Tommy bahama, vineyard vines, and another nice brand that I can’t remember for 120 for all 3. Now I just need to actually start looking good in them. Can’t imagine Dillards isnt running something similar.

Here's a fitness update from your boy. My last workout was on May 13. We went to Florida last week and I've been bacheloring it up this weekend while my wife visits her family for the holiday. I've eaten whatever I wanted and put no limits on alcohol... and still managed to generally eat (and drink) like an adult. My wife and I did get pretty tipsy after cocktails and a lovely dinner at the Don Cesar, though, but it would be a shame not to, frankly.

Weighed in today at 181.2. That's up exactly 2 pounds from the end of April -- so not bad. Less encouraging, however, is the 0.75 inch jump in waist circumference. Ah well. Vacation bloat is the champagne of victory, imo. Plus, some of the weight gain may be lean muscle mass. I did lift really heavy (for me) and then take almost two weeks of recovery time. And let me tell you good people, I have done some serious napping the last two weeks.

Mrs. Camacho and I are planning on heading to Bar Harbor in mid-August. We want to get in a ton of hiking around town and in Acadia National Forest. With the goal of getting into Super Hiker Hippie shape, I'm going to keep up the weekly routine of 3 kettlebell workouts and at least one hour long original strength session as the combination thus far continues to make me feel younger and stronger the more I keep it up.

I am also going to add at least one 45-60 minute ruck on the weekend and a daily walk (30 min on non-workout days and 15 minutes right after a kb session). Eventually, I want to work up to an additional daily walk at lunch, too, after I get my sea legs back. I also hung a pull-up bar on my deck so I've been trying to knock out 5 to 10 pull-ups a day, too, if I can.

This thread is a nice way to stay accountable and brainstorm. So hopefully by stating this plan out loud, you momos will heckle me if I don't stick with it and otherwise critique it.

-Thread is great, when you put something in writing it feels more real. Log in, see someone else killing it, extry motivation.

-Home gym reno complete. Last item in 8 years of planned renos. New indoor training bike ordered. Treadmill en route. rubber floors installed. Sonos installed. Dimmable and color changing leds. New db and kb storage. Waiting... but dying to pull the trigger on a rack/cable system. I don't really need it because all my heavy lifting will be done at the trainers. Since it's a room above the garage I can't really drop 100s of #'s on the floor. Even with crash pads. So trying to figure all that out. Probably wait until at least black Friday sale.

-Hope to let this place outfit as much of the gym as I can. Keep it local, NichVegas. https://homegrownlifting.com/

-10 more days of cut and then back up.
