Good coaching goes a long way in wins and recruiting. OU has been successful the last 3 years because of QB transfers. Texas hasn't had a coach since Brown was forced into retirement. IMO this will be Herman's final year if he doesn't produce.

If Les Miles is such a great coach you would have thought Texas would have gone after Les Miles after being outed at LSU.

School reputation has a lot to do with it as well. Taggart was getting good athletes at FSU and he’s a TERRIBLE coach.
