3.) a win Wednesday gets us into the top 10 the following Week

4.) a sweep of the following week of Purdue and Iowa ...gets us in the top 5 and 5-0/9-0

5.) having said all of that ...it’s a one game at a time mentality that wins big in this conference. Northwestern over Michigan state deep in the 2nd half says all you need to know about the conference. Next goal ... be 1-0 On December 23rd against Ohio state

This league is a beast.

Last year, three-way tie for first was at 14-6. Our schedule is front loaded. 4 out of the next 5 games are against ranked opponents. I agree with one game at a time, but if we lose on Wednesday, the world is not over. Give me 3 more wins in the next 5 and we are in GREAT shape!

I have been wondering that as well. Seems like there has been some discussion of that on this board but don't recall if it had more substance behind it or if it was mere wishful thinking. With everyone getting a free year coming back late and not having to sacrifice a year of eligibility would seem to be a positive if medically able. Pike said something yesterday about him always being in the gym. You would think one of the guys covering the team would have asked Pike about the lack of depth after yesterday's game but it did not happen.
