Yeah, I got all excited about an EV truck...then did the research. They're not all they're cracked up to be. Hybrids seem to be a much better option.

Yea I have a hybrid car and that's definitely the way to go. My wife's car was in the shop for a week and they gave her an EV for a rental so I ended up using it and that was the biggest hassle there ever was for a week. I only drive 10 miles each way to work compared to her 35 miles and I had to end up charging the car 2 different times in a week. It sucks because the EV only gets 230 miles per full charge and it takes 1.5 hours to charge it on a fast charger. If you don't have a fast charger it's like 4-5 hours. So you couldn't take an EV on a road trip because you'd have to stop (depending on the size of your trip) way too many times to charge up. If you can't find a fast charger you will be spending 4-5 hours to charge. I just don't have time for that. The cost to charge an EV varies too and seems like it's more than just filling up with gas.

My hybrid I can pull into the gas station in 5 minutes fill up with gas and a full tank of gas usually lasts me about 525-540 miles per tank usually in the summer. It's about 480-500 in the winter. Then I'm done and on my way from the gas station. So between the time it takes to stop, charge , and the cost of it. There is just no way in hell I will own an EV they're just to damn time consuming.

I’d get an EV if I had more than one car to drive around the city. I rarely travel so it would save me a boatload of gas.

My hybrid is great in the city I get over 60 mpg in the city. I don't drive in a lot of city but when I'm Lexington or Louisville I don't mind it at all because that is when my car preforms the best lol.

That’s such good news! Prayers for him and his family. I hope he not only moves on with life, I hope he continues to live out his dream. If what he has done was so easy, why haven’t 100 other billionaires done it! It isn’t that he has all the money, it is what he has done to get it. SpaceX, Tesla, PayPal, The Boring Company, Starlink, the Neurolink deal. It is like when Jasmine Crocket says “he Ain’t no genius”. You just shake your head and ask what the heck kind of drugs is she on. Sure he has help, but he is the driving force.

My only point about the cyber truck being ugly was that I wasn’t just saying it because I hate Elon Musk. Is he perfect, no. But he is pretty damn good. I would be elated if my daughters were a 1/100th as successful as he is.

You are either illiterate or ignorant. SpaceX launches missions very regularly to take Starlink and other satellites into space. It is so good, it owns well over 50% of the free worlds satellite market. Fire is a serious risk for any electric vehicle because of the batteries. You have a wreck, you better get out. It is likely to start a blaze. Elon and his partners started PayPal and then sold it. You don’t have to like the guy, but you are just an idiot to try and minimize his accomplishments.
