this should be fun and once again certain board know it alls enjoy your crow.
Makes sense. HC Quinn and Flood go way back. Quinn once coached at Morristown. He Is the assistant Oline coach. Not even the Oline coach.
Come on now.
i blame the russianslove all the hate for Flood but yet, nothing for the fool that left us in the situation and AD that gave him the reigns. Don't blame Flood for being in over his head, blame the former coach for leaving at 11th hour and an AD that sucked
blame a college coach for taking a job as head coach in the NFL? NO..blame Barchi and Kate Sweeny for hiring the train wreck known as Julie Hermann who had zero idea what she was doing and had more baggage then a 747.Flood was just the cherry on top of the disaster.love all the hate for Flood but yet, nothing for the fool that left us in the situation and AD that gave him the reigns. Because the OP is a obvious Flood butt kisser. "But he's a really nice guy"Really OP? Why would anyone eat crow when it comes to this fool
because there are a great number of posters here who said he'd never work again, he was worst O line coach in the country, yada yada yada. When it was pointed out by many that he was a very respected O line coach people bashed those posters. When I pointed out he had feelers for NFL jobs even last year people talked smack. Just wanted to take a second to remind the board fools where they stand. Won't call them out by name as everyone knows who they are. and I'm bored at workReally OP? Two names on that list are likely more familiar to fans than the other four. Former Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood, who was on the staff at Hofstra with Quinn nearly two decades ago, has been named the team’s assistant offensive line coach and Charlie Weis Jr. is an offensive assistant.
Weis Jr. is the son of former Patriots offensive coordinator and Notre Dame and Kansas head coach Charlie Weis and comes to Atlanta after spending the last two years at the University of Alabama. New offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian was also at Alabama last year.
Former University of Delaware coach Dave Brock will also be an offensive assistant along with Justin Outten. Charlie Jackson and Jess Simpson have been hired as defensive assistants.
oh I agree on the latter as the school should have been prepared and made the wrong hire based on PC bsblame a college coach for taking a job as head coach in the NFL? Thought all along that Quinn would reach out and start Flood's "rehabilitation". Old buddies.
On paper, I'd bet the average Falcons fan is thrilled with the hire. They don't know or care about trips to the Princeton Library. If they pull up his Wiki page they see a career OL coach under Schiano, has a winning record as a HC, was BE coach of the year, 8-5 year one in the B1G, and I'm sure glowing reviews from a HC that got them to the Super Bowl.Nearly 100% of people here said he will never coach in FBS again. Still true.
Some suggested FCS or D3 or HS.
Falcon fans must be thrilled. What a stupid hire.
Good luck with that.
HofstraI went to HS with Dan's older brother. Dan was never a coach at Morristown. In fact he never coached on the high school level. Went straight to college ranks after he graduated from Salisbury. If they know each other it's probably from a coaching clinic or mutual friend.

The average Falcons fan doesn't give a turd who the assistant OL coach is. In fact the die hards don't care either. On paper, I'd bet the average Falcons fan is thrilled with the hire. Flood was good as an OL Coach. He was a bad HC and a god awful recruiter.

You need to read more and post less. I don't think they care. I was responding directly to someone who said Falcons fans would be upset with the hire.lmfao..do you really think they care one iota about the assistant OL coach and even know where Flood came from. He is just a name to them. Holy moly your man love for this Elmer goes beyond comprehension
