Just a horrible top of 3rd. Leadoff two hits put Waldy and Pitre on board. Horrible bunt by Burkes (why are we bunting when we are starting to square their guy up) gets the leadoff runner out. PItre stupidly gets caught trying to steal third. And then Daly swings at ball four and then stares at strike 3. Just awful baseball there.
I know Mingione plays the odds but Burkes has been hot the last couple of games, absolutely hate seeing us bunt in that situation.
We had a good chance to take the lead in the top of the 7th, and blew it with a disastrous double steal.
hope grant smith is back healthy soon. He is greatly missed. I love the aggressiveness Florida just got lucky on the missed bunt the pitcher had a horrible miss
We were damn lucky to come out of the 8th with only giving up 2. We can still win this one.
Our closer situation is becoming problem. Come on guys 3 outs without giving up 2 or more runs.
Hummel just can’t go against tons of guys. They get his timing quick. 3-4 hitters max
Win or lose— we have an issue with Hummel lately it seems - I hope he can find a game to get back some confidence
