We win a game against an overrated opponent and now I'm thinking we could run the table...outside of Georgia. I guess since I recognize this is crazy it means I'm not crazy. Right?? Please help me.

Florida might have told us who they are by getting their @$$e$ kicked last week at Missouri. I think we'd better withhold our elation until we can observe a few more data points.
No thanks. Don’t know why it bothers you so, but I’ve let my elation have a hoot for the time being. Celebrate the wins, mourn the losses, next man up, and don’t concern yourself with something you’re not.

Strangely enough I ran across a ea sports simulation on YouTube this past week this almost perfectly mirrored today’s game.

Who's bothered? I don't even know you, man. I counsel caution to the impetuously euphoric, but I would never presume to restrain a grown man from enjoying transitory gratification.

And Missouri got their asses kicked by MSU who we went out of our way to lose to.

There's 3-4 really good teams in the SEC this season so far.

Not much separation between the rest.

Missouri lost to Miss. State 31-24 on the road. I wouldn't call that an @$$-kicking. What happened to Florida at COMO was an @$$-kicking. 45-17.

Great win!! I wish some of you would read your comments early in the game and realize how foolish some of them are. Won`t call out anyone as I think you know if you`re one of them. We can`t change the outcomes of the games we could have, maybe should have, won. All we can do is hope we can play like we did most of this game after a shaky start. If we do we could win a few more. Like someone said, we could beat everyone outside of UGA but we could also lose to all of them. Don`t think the SEC is mediocre - maybe everyone is good, although not sure about Arkansas and we still have to prove today wasn`t an anomaly. Let`s just be happy for the team, the coaches and we the fans!!

Ah. I was looking at last year's game in reverse.

Nonetheless - The team on the field today looked markedly better than what we've seen so far in all phases.

UK who pulls a rabbit out of the hat last Saturday, currently up on LSU in the 4th.

UGA, BAMA, UT are standouts so far. The remainder are a hodgepodge.

It's odd how many of the posters on this forum posture as if they've previously been connected to a vastly superior team in the past and know exactly what it takes to make USC an elite program -- even though it's operated in a non-elite market for over a century.

Well Kentucky just beat a top 10 LSU team, and we had them down by 17. I think our team is really good if the secondary can just not look confused on 4 to 5 plays a game!

Florida's third down defense hit the crapper.

You know what that Kentucky-LSU game solidified? It demonstrated that LSU also isn't that good and that Kentucky has a better coach than South Carolina does.

We have to give credit where credit is due, and our offensive line is 100 times better than it was last year. Sellers actually has time to set his feet and throw, and it is making a difference today. Plus, it helps that Florida's secondary is terrible, and that sellers is making decent decisions with the ball so far.
It is better…..but the system is a large part of why they’re better. This offensive system doesn’t ask them to dominate their opponent every play for 50 plays.
part and parcel to what I’ve said on this site for 20 plus years. We won’t out-talent alabama/uf/uga (etc) upfront on either side of line ever….gotta have the right offensive system to best benefit ourselves

Our drops though. I think I saw we lead FBS in drops? I believe it.
seriously…..end of season changes must be made someplace….need a top flight rec coach /dog recruiter who recognizes talent and get them in the door. We have some personalities right now….we need some Sidney rice, Eddie miller types and this offense would be off its azz good right now

I wonder if the drops are partially impacted by the guy throwing the ball. We've all heard the expressions of watchable balls, aiming at not throwing to, etc.

If yesterday was piss poor coaching, I hope we see it the rest of the season.

Ok.

You're entitled to your opinion. Next year when we have a QB with ZERO experience .....we'll be rebuilding. So, in essence, Beamer is wasting this season and next season. The right move is to get the younger guys meaningful experience for next season. Keeping your "star" Qb in the game with a big lead late in the game is a cardinal sin. It's just one sign of a bad coach with no clue how to manage a roster. Blowing 16 and 17 point leads in back to back games is another.
