Had very little rain here on the East Coast in Delray Beach. Winds have been beautiful though

South Florida Rain and some wind. Few palm fronds came down. Two children are bored, it happens.

Storm is a typical tropical storm with a lot of rain and wind not that bad. However, we are now under a tornado warning as Doppler radar showing evidence of rotation (couplet) near us.

Damn, I'm flying into Myrtle Beach on Wed. and leaving on Sat. Not looking good. Daughter is driving in from Raleigh to meetup, so I'm thinking of cancelling just to keep everyone out of harms way.

A kick in the balls to summer-themed businesses. SMH.

It’s just a puny category one hurricane.

Oh wait, 250,000 without power and widespread flooding with more of both to come.

Got a lot of rain and 50 mph gusts here in Naples. Quite a bit stronger than expected. It really intensified quickly. Makes me worried for the rest of the season.

Here in Naples, this is just a typical offshore Low Depression with some wind gusts of note and a good amount of rain. When you are in flat land approx. 3 feet above sea level or less - wrong engineering of roadways will flood and TV will hype.

There are two lead weather people on TV from Penn State - CBS and NBC - that over emphasize bad weather conditions for tourists and older residents. But .... with Hurricane Ian, they did not understand to say - get out of the way - and the damage was major. People died - Ft Myers Beach will never be the same. Two years later and some areas are not repaired.

Yesterday - rain and wind, stay inside and watch a movie, then take a nap. Any excess water will evaporate or flow into the Gulf, when everything dries out - golf will return ! Been here 20 years and this was really not bad at all, experienced worse on LBI.

It's going to be worse in Pennsylvania than it was in Florida....

I work PT at a marina just north of MYB so we’ve been watching Debby closely. Still a little hard to know what she’ll do but most projections show our area getting 10-15 inches of rain from Tuesday through Friday. If I were you, I’d take a raincheck on a trip here this week.

Thanks. Yeah I'm following the flight closely to see what Spirit does. Much of my extended family is there already and I haven't seen in years. My daughter will either bale on the trip or come down a day later. We're staying in North Myrtle Beach actually. Not that that would make a significant difference weather wise.

At least you’re not expecting your daughter to bail on the trip - with that much rain it would be inhumane.

You might be right. Spaghetti models now have Debby passing W of DC and then directly through State College.
A couple of weeks go I would have said bring it on please. But, after all the storms and rain the past couple of weeks and the couple of inches we received yesterday, last night and today, I hope it is a miss.

Of course, that is just hope. Looks like we are in for a couple inches or more on Friday.

The rain volume reports from some of the towns in this tiny little previously category one hurricane are incredible.

It's here in Chapel Hill after slowing moving up the coast. Dark, lots of rain bands, some wind. Supposed to be a soaker for 24 hours.

You called that. Really bad in North Central PA. Potter County, Tioga County having problems. All the creeks have overflowed. The Little Loyalsock (east of there) is about to overflow.

Over by our place in Hillsgrove in Sullivan County the Loyalsock is insane how high it is ... Heart breaking for many with so much damage

So sad when all one can do is pile up sandbags and pray. Wishing them solace.

No it was not. Living here in Allentown it was a minor nuisance.
Well I had 1 outer band of rain for 5 mins here in FL and meanwhile half of PA is under water.... so just depends where you are located.
