Pretty sure Jimbo already burned that bridge when he left them for aTm.
I bet they would swallow their pride and hire him back if they thought he could bring them back to the level they were at when he was there. Just like UCF with Frost and West Virginia with Rodriguez.

They've been pretty bad in basketball for a bit too.

He just hired a basketball coach last year and they had a decent year. Sometimes the AD is the whipping boy for the BOR . This guy didn’t hire Norvell and you can ***** about the high buyout he has because of the extension he gave Norvell. But let’s be honest Norvell was coming of a 10-3 and 13-1 when he got the extension in after year 4 . What AD wouldn’t have probably given him an extension at that point?

I would guess that Jimbo Fisher and Deion Sanders will be pretty high on their list of candidates.
They could get Deion, but who would want him? Is Jimbo still expensive? They are broke. They’ll be dipping down a level to find a coach.

Hiring Sanders would be a very desperate move. They are in a very tough spot- kind of like us. don’t know the macros at fsu well enough to even gather a guess as to if they can be competitive again.

Sanders would bring in a lot of talent.
Coach Sanders had some significant health issues. His portal ranking was in 20s his high school recruiting in the 60s. So good- not great. Maybe he does better at fsu? Maybe, with the health and data we have I doubt it happens and if so im Guessing wouldn’t work well.

Deion's health is an issue. He has a special sideline tent to pee when he needs to because his bladder was removed. CU is less stressful overall than FSU would be and I doubt Sanders will stay on as a coach too far into the future.

Even if Deion agreed to coach for free, i cannot imagine a school like FSU bringing him in at this point
Deion is all about Deion he loves any attention. This is Colorado’s easiest schedule in his tenure. So he will leverage that into more attention- expect grand gestures near the end of this season from him in an attempt to create opportunities. It’s already started - his players cleaning up Georgia techs locker room.
