Tennessee has possibly the best defense in the country and got beat by 30 by Florida.
I’m sure he was being bad information from Cal and he is being feed excuses why what he was promised isn’t happening. Cal is a good salesman, just not a good coach.
Maybe our defense should be rated in the 100s for efficiency. I once saw a team that was great on offense and poor on defense make changes late in the season and win the national championship. Don’t ask me which team.
