Florida looking good. I’d love to try and pry Richmond from Calipari. Won’t happen probably but I didn’t expect Fland to leave either. He’s the athletic defensive wing we need, and he is scoring now. Really developing.
Richmond is a punk. But also it’s ok if he’s our punk. Doubt he would even consider it. He’s a pro. Not leaving Cal until it’s draft time.

Cal lol. I hope Arkansas is happy with the contract. This is as good as you’re going to get with a Calipari team. It’s why he’s not here. We made a bad hire but at least at the time there was a shot pope could win titles, Calipari isn’t changing and his system gives 0 chance. Wait until they figure out Acuff’s are a one time thing. I cannot wait until Arkansas thinks is routine and the next one will be just like him lol. This’ll be good.

Truth is it is very likely Calipari is done after 2 more seasons. Contract getting close and he’d have 4 years. I don’t see him going 3 more. This is very, very, very likely the best team he’ll have at Arkansas. He’s going to be very young next season and we see how these classes have been. What’s going to be interesting is to see if he scraps his approach and loads on some top portal guys and relies on them over freshman to give himself that last shot. I don’t believe he will. Arkansas won’t win with him and so his only legacy will be here, which I was hoping for. He’ll likely never go back there and come out for a game to cement everything at the end and claim UK for the legacy play. I also fully expect Calipari to speak to the move down the road, and how he didn’t want to go to ark, just to make it more smooth here and let UK be the spot. I highly doubt he ever returns to Arkansas when he hangs it up.

I thought we weren't going to have enough players to field a team next year

Florida started 5-4 this year and are now in range of getting at least a 2 seed and still lurk for a 1 seed

The true homer colored glasses people have here sure are amazing. Kentucky was the worst team ever when losing 3 in a row and now Kentucky won 2 in a row people have them beating Florida next week.

Kentucky very well might win the game but no one in their right mind watching Florida playing right now would think Kentucky will win the game before it begins. Florida will be a heavy favorite.

They played 40 minutes of the most intense defense I've seen in CBB this year. Withstood the run and finished them off. That is the best gameplan I seen against them this year.

they have the blueprint.

it worked out perfectly for them.

crazy stuff, huh ?
Or Florida just played a piss poor game and Auburn played out of their mind.

Uconn and Florida broke one trend with their titles and Florida may break another this year with their slow start.

Them and Duke are playing better than anyone right now.

For over 3 decades until Hurley in 2023 no coach had won the title wothout having previously been to an E8 or having a roster stacked with guys that had already won it(1998 Tubby and 2014 Ollie) since Fisher at Michigan in the 80’s. Hurley broke that trend and then Golden did it again 2 years later.

Now Golden’s looking to break another. No team thats had more than 2 losses before conference play started has won it since Michigan State in 2000 and they were without an AA point guard for the first 13 games. But Florida is very clearly a title contender again.

It’s going to be them, Zona, Duke, Michigan or Uconn imo. Give me those 5 and you can have the field.

Also Cal getting exposed over and over during the twilight of his career has been difficult to watch.

I can’t take Duke or UConn winning yet again.
