I can’t take Duke or UConn winning yet again.

I was telling a friend the other night if I have to endure another 40 years of Duke being at the top i’m done with college basketball. I won’t make it. We need an AD in here that sees UK basketball as the giant it should be and will demand as such. Barnhardt just does not care about winning in basketball as long as it’s profitable. He seemed less patient with Stoops.

There’s not much point in following Kentucky basketball these days and if Kentucky isn’t worth watching, the whole sport sure as hell isn’t worth watching. I’m sure at some point a lot of us aren’t even going to be on this board as toxic positivity takes over and acceptance of mediocrity takes priority as trolls push out anyone who doesn’t jerk off Pope for losing 10+ games a season.

Kentucky’s love for college basketball is all but guaranteed to die if UK doesn’t do something in the coming years.

Yeah. It’s not the end of the world for me and i’m sure most people as I wanna believe most of us that have the luxury of time to get on a message board and complain about sports have a pretty good life. But I really do enjoy the sport and miss the times when were dominant. Sadly it’s only really happened during 2 stretches. Pitino and Early Calipari.

For most of my 44 years it’s been Kansas, UNC and Duke at the top and UK running a pretty distant 4th. And now probably 5th as Uconn has usurped us over the past 25 years as well.

Had some genius tell me the other night Cal never lost 30 pt games like Pope does. Todd Golden is a punk and a sociopath. Totally in Cals corner on that exchange with him earlier. Golden needs some humility and to learn how to win with class.
Why? It's working for Hurley.

(Btw, I agree with you.....the millionares whine waaaay too damn much)

Golden: "What's your name?"
Cal: "What?"
G: I said, "What is your name?!"
C: "Cal"
G: "Eff you Cal!"
C: "What's your name?!"
G: "Golden"
C: "Eff you Golden!"
G: "Eff you!"
C: "No eff you!"

lol

Yeah, it's an internet video skit that goes on, but I wasn't writing out the whole thing.

Yeah, that's EMBRASSING for Cal. Cal, love him or hate him, has REALLY underachieved with all the talent he's had.

Auburn going to lose at home to Ole freaking Miss

That's just who we are this year. The Unpredictables. We might beat anybody. We might lose to anybody.

Also that's BAD for us. We lost to an NIT team. UGH

Kansas has 2 National championships since 1990. UNC 4 and Duke 5. We have 3. I don’t see how that’s so distant. We also have arguably the best single season team in that time frame.

The true homer colored glasses people have here sure are amazing. Kentucky was the worst team ever when losing 3 in a row and now Kentucky won 2 in a row people have them beating Florida next week.

Kentucky very well might win the game but no one in their right mind watching Florida playing right now would think Kentucky will win the game before it begins. Florida will be a heavy favorite.
I don’t think it will be as heavy as you think. Metrics’s look like at Rupp Florida only favored by 5.5 most likely.

Florida is a good team, and next to Zona, Uconn , Duke and maybe Michigan could win it all.

I will be curios if UK can beat Texas AM , how we would fair at home, on senior night , against Fl.

I’ve never considered 5.5 a “Heavy favorite “ doubt anyone has. It will fall between 4.5 and 6.5 opening line almost certainly unless metrics shift by then. Results this week will factor in some as well.
I do for a visiting team. Gotta remember home court buys a team 5-6 points. That means at their place it would be a 10.5.

That's pretty heavy.

We also have 15 double digit loss seasons since 1990 and Kansas only has 6. We’ve missed the tournament 3 times and they haven’t missed it once since then. Both with 8 final fours. but we have 3 titles and they have 2.

I see your point. It is close. And i don’t think i’d trade the extra title for their regular season success.

Cal’s most lopsided loss, since he was here? I remember getting destroyed by Duke and Zion but don’t remember if it was more than 30

Arkansas laid a complete egg.

Worst look all season long for them. Just pitiful. Pathetic. Disgraceful for the SEC. Arkansas fans must be despondent.
