Close game. Joe lunardi said the loser was "toast" as far as getting into the tourney. I think that's hyperbole, but yeah, is important.
Nope that makes sense . And UF will have trouble making the NIT IMO as they won't win more then 16 or 17 .
The winner will be top 25-30 in KenPom. The loser probably 40-45.

I'm starting to think kenpom is crap. At least as far as a ranking. Florida is barely above .500 and lost to Miami and yet he has them above Miami.
It's very accurate after non-conference play, at least showing how strong teams were OOC.

It's definitely better than RPI.
However, like RPI, you still have to PLAY someone, and BEAT someone. If you have all quality losses (like Florida does), you're ranking won't fall.
How stupid was that last play? Uh... You have to pull up and shoot with only 3 seconds.

Billy has looked like a mediocre coach much of this year. Odd lineups and a horribly run offense. I can't think of a top coach (like he is) that is so bad at drawing up end-of-game type of plays.
You hear talk of teams (like Cal talks about with this UK team) that has "the will to win." Florida has whatever the opposite of that is.
Can anyone think of a pair of top 10 ranked recruits who have been bigger busts than Chris Walker and Kasey Hill? Surely there are some, but I can't think of them. Chris Walker is half a year from being a junior and acts like he doesn't know what a basketball is when its heading in his direction. Maybe that's a bit of an overstatement, but you get my point. Kasey Hill is like 21 years old. I actually think I'm right about that. He'd be UK's 3rd best option at the point. Maybe 4th. I might take Hawkins over him. Posting on a gator board, I've been informed by multiple fans, heading into this year, that Chiozza is a "bigger Ulis" and that the only reason Ulis jumped him in the rankings was blue-blood favoritism. Apparently, this wasn't accurate. Devin Robinson was ranked higher than Ulis AND Booker? That can't have been the case.

Exactly. Hell they will have to go 9-3 imo to make the NIT . And KENPOM IS COMPLETE GARBAGE. THE RPI is good and the BPI IMO is the best.
Last week MWilliamson responded to one of my posts on a Florida thread. So now I respect Mr. Williamson as a stand up Gator but the others are fair weather fans.
Even on Nuttin'butNet that I am banned from, they don't even talk about UK anymore. Last year and early this year they would have a thread for UK's games. They stopped that after their 4th loss. They don't even talk bad about how Calipari cheats now.
And, with only a couple of exceptions, the most adamant of UK haters don't even post anymore. The one that famously posted that he'd take Florida at EVERY POSITION over UK hasn't posted in months. Not shocking, however, that they don't talk about UK. What is there for them to say at this point? Cal supposedly can't coach or develop players - yet is undefeated and has an all-time great defense (defense that requires heart, discipline and commitment) played by talented players that are unselfishly sharing minutes at an impressive level. BD appears to have a team with a low collective basketball IQ, featuring top 10 players that aren't developing and a supposed star (Frazier) that is regressing from seasons past. This is despite a recruiting philosophy that appears to include house-creaning and over signing - which is, apparently, no big deal as it always "works out..."
It also appears they actually banned Bullis for criticizing Donovan. With very little critical posting allowed and not much to say about UK, the overall amount of posting seems to have dried up considerably.
Wow, I did not know that. I was banned for stating that Walker and Finney-Smith smoked pot.

My Gators are struggling badly this year. There is not a clutch player on the team. Very puzzling.
