Someone said Florida is a weirder place than Cali? LOL! Sorry, it's not even close. California is a total nuthouse...with the exception of the far northern part of that state.
This Florida situation has a bit of Michigan State feel to me and that was a total mess for Sparty. Florida will wait till things play out enough to either cut Golden loose or fire him for cause. Either way the Golden era (no pun intended) at Florida is over.

Oh I agree. He's technically innocent until proven otherwise. However, when it comes to employment, while due process is proper and just, if there's even a minute speck of truth, he's done, especially considering he has a position of authority over student athletes and probably has a morality cluse in his contract.

When I was in education several moons ago, we had a couple of rules for student teachers and anyone involved with students.

1. Don't touch the girls/boys
2. If you have to think about if something could be misconstrued? Don't do it.
You reminded me of one of my jr high teachers(early 70s); he pretty much spent the entire hour spanking people. He'd beat the boys as hard as he could swing that paddle with holes in it to see if he could make them cry. All of us boys knew he was beating us for pleasure; aside from the sadism it was cover for getting to gently spank the girls. Fortunately he didn't spend much time as a teacher.
He got promoted to principal.

True. I should’ve read it through before commenting.
I was involved in a case many years ago when a fellow student accused a teacher of misconduct. It wasn’t true …I ended up testifying for said teacher because this girls witness (claimed she saw it) told me that they made it up to get back at him. I now have a tendency to be cautious about automatically believing allegations without all the facts

This looks very bad. And the man should lose everything
That should always be the case. The burden of proof is on those making the claims.

In most states, he would have no chance at keeping his job, but Florida is the weirdest state in America...So, maybe
As my fiance says, even though Florida is the most southern state in the country, it's not really a Southern state. Florida is it's own weird a$$ place. I have friends who want to move there and I'm just like why? I've been there 7 times and would never want to move there. I go enjoy the beach then I'm out of there. That states sucks.

Just wait until someone springs a pic of Pope with a cup of coffee or other caffeinated beverage. 😱
Notice how when the Coaches do their interviews, they usually have Coke prominently displayed in front of them. That's been pretty customary for a while. Pope has Gatorade prominently displayed in his interviews.

He was drinking a Diet Coke at his last post-game press conference.
I don't know what he was drinking, I just saw two Gatorade bottles out in front of him. Stoops always has Coke out in front of him but chugs from water bottles.

Gosh . A reasonable poster who truly believes innocent until proven guilty . It’s amazing most people mouth that phrase but immediately find the accused guilty. Good post .
Multiple woman, God knows actually how many, who Im sure have him showing his junk on their phones.
No way he gets out of this.
He is screwed as is UF basketball for the foreseeable future.
And UF it seems has known about this for months and has done zippo.
Horrible look and if they are trying to cover it up more heads will roll.
Stop being naive.

These are allegations with some evidence. Pictures of girls he was following around and texting. Also apparently pictures of his genitalia

I also. Believe in presumed innocence . But it’s it looking good for him.

He wouldn’t fit our offense at all. He’s so slow and not very skilled.
he has a few skills, just not to the level needed for SEC play. but yeah he's slow as molasses too. He'd be a good draw for a mid-major program wanting some attention.

It’s probably tied.

Coastal states. Big port cities. Good chunk of the population of both are outcasts, weirdos, wonderers, free spirits, contrarians, etc from every where else…not just from this country but world.

Everyone sits around in the heat and sun and it bakes their brains.

One may need a little bit more religion the other probably has too much.

All that said…love both!

I'd like to see the people who volunteer for that police line-up: 6 guys in a room wearing bags over their head "Please step to the glass and drop your trousers"

The beauty is they won't have to. Digital forensics are pretty amazing. Metadata is just as good as DNA in some cases. And I doubt Golden was wary enough to be tech-savvy here.
